numbness
I had surgery Sept. 2003 .Had the tummy tuck Dec.2005 then had to have gall bladder surgery in spring 2006. I had the numbness in lower area after the skin removal and tightning but the numbness has moved up and now I am numb all aroung navel and middrift area. Have any of you had this problem? Or is it normal. Also what is the early signs if any of bowell obstruction?Tonight is the first time to find this site and I am so Impressed.
thanks
I have had reconstructive surgery as well. YES there is numbness. I had gallbladder surgery years ago and it was always numb (1973) around the incision.
I have numbness and sometimes tingling sensation since I had my recon sur. Aug. 2005. I experienced numbness in my hands . This is the result of the lengthy surgery time for recon and hernia repair. It is better now.
I would think bowel obstuction would be internally painful.
Visit w/ your surgeon soon. I think you would feel better to be medicallly checked.
