Count me in -- I've gained 18 pounds back in the last year and am very ashamed and starting to get depressed about it. I do okay most weekdays, but the nighttime grazing kills me. I'm not getting in enough water, eating too many carbs and not exercising enough -- I know what I have to do, but just can't seem to get in gear!
HELP

I had surgery almost two years ago and lost about 180 lbs. BUT recently Ive been eating WAY too much. I am scheduled for hernia repair surgery in two weeks and am thinking about getting the skin removal for my stomach in 6 mths or so but I feel l need to lose some more weight first. I really need to get back on track and exercise more!!
This is all sounding very familier. I had Lap RNY almost 3 years ago. I have gained about 25 pounds back and am so scared. I do well during the day but at night I graze. I ate so much Sunday night I threw up. I feel so out of control. I know what I should be doing but I can't seem to stop myself at night. I have been going back to the gym and have been buying more healthy foods but the nighttime munchies are killing me! Can you all help me?
Hi!
Count me in too!! I am almost 3 years post op. I lost 130 lbs, but have gained back 10 I have been eating what ever I want for the last 6 months, and grazing way too much! I have started trying to eat healthier, and do ok during the day, but evenings are bad! I am exercising, but need some motivation to improve my eating and cut out the grazing!! Good luck to all of us!!!!! DeeAnn R
Count me in. Four and a half years out - I held steady for a couple of years, then last year just kept going UP. Nighttime munchies kill me. This week? I'm doing great (For two days in a row lol) - I started a food journal, have been checking this site (where so much of it began for me inspirationally the first time around!) throughout the day - and thus far have kept the night stuff at bay. I NEED exercise, but know I'm not going there anytime soon. I'd like to take off 20-25 and STAY THERE.
Inspire away!
The one thing I have managed to do is take my vitamins I stopped exercising, I have regained 18 lb my husband had surgery Sept 26th although we use a sandwich plate at dinner if I have a day off I tend to end alot of bread during the day.
at work for first , and second break I usually have a half of a sandwich 100 cal chips and one of those 60 cal choc sticks
It varies what I take for lunch it could be left overs or a hot roast beef sandwich
I have been treating myself to a energy drink and diet pepsi I usually have hot tea with splenda and sugar free hot choc. then I usually have my frozen bottle water
I also eat an apple during one of my breaks.
HELP!!!!

WOW! So many of us are in the same sinking boat. I guess my question now is, where do we go from here? How do we help one another? How do we get organized so that we can be a support system for each other? Maybe we can have a daily thread where we check in with one another to report our daily struggles as well as our victories. What do you think? I'm open to anything. I need help.
Glad you posted to the Grad Board. I told you there were many of the grads (Including myself) dealing with gain, back choices and not following the rules.
It appears that the night munchies get the majority of us that have posted to this thread. Yesterday I did have a good day, so far today I'm doing great. If I can make it 3-4 more days of not grazing at night I can get back in the swing of things (or that's how it was last time).
I think a daily post of our victories and slips will help many of us. I know Steph was posting a "what did you eat" post awhile back and it gave me incentive and ideas to make good choices and being accountable.
What do yall think of us doing that again? My home computer is down right now so I'm not in a position to do it but if anyone has time and is willing, I say let's go for it.
