Well I have been working on defeating the night time munchies. In fact I had a 20 min talk the other night with a Choc Brownie on why I could not him! Any snack ideas you guys have or what is your favorite snack would be appreciated.

Laura: SF popsicles are good, and very lowcal! SF jello with a dollop of coolwhip. Again lowcal. Nuts are a good protein choice as is string cheese. How about carrots, fresh vegies with ff ranch dip? Another tasty treat is: 8 oz milk, 1/2 pkg SF jello pudding (your choice flavor**** cubes, 1 scoop protein powder (your choice flavor also) Blend it all in the blender well. Makes a thick tasty shake!! Low fat popcorn is good also! Hope these ideas help!! DeeAnn R

Take a piece of string cheese, nuke it 12 seconds, sprinke with Italian seasoning and knead it like bread. Yummy. Make fried cheese crisps. Use a non-stick pan, heat it, spread shredded cheese in it and coo****il it starts to crisp. Flip and cook a little more.

Here's some suggestions: - Sugar-free fudgsicles - Starbucks mocha bars (not sugar-free, but about 100 calories per bar if you can tolerate some sugar) - Banana with a tbsp. of peanut butter - Half an apple with a tbsp. of peanut butter - 100 calorie snack packs (if you can limit yourself to just one) - small, decaf latte made w/ nonfat milk - sugar-free hot cocoa made w/ ho****er or nonfat milk - 1/4 cup nuts - 1/2 cup high-fiber cereal w/ nonfat milk - 100 calorie popcorn or kettle corn snack bag I've learned that I have to be careful not to truly give in to those night-time munchies, but I do allow myself one "treat" in the evening. I try to keep that "treat" around 100-150 calories, and I try to make sure it has some nutritional value. Some of the things I choose don't meet those criteria (Starbucks mocha bars, 100 calorie snack packs), but I only have those things once a week or so. Good luck on your efforts to control those night-time munchies. It's a challenge, but you can do it! Kellie Lap RNY 10/25/2005 396/225/165

when I want something sweet I have the vanilla dannon carb control yougurt with strawberries or bluberries. Or you can try the sf rice pudding or sf jello pudding.

raw carrots SF/FF pudding with a little light whip cream celery, banana, apple with peanut butter nuts SF Pop, Fudgicles Healthy choice makes good ones soy crisps soy nuts hot chocolate protein bar yogurt with granola and fruit mixed in popcorn I don't eat this but people say beef jerky is good cottage cheese with a few baked wheat thins cheese and low fat crakers or without the crakers string cheese small bowl of cereal lowfat granola bar rice cakes sun chips chex mix There are lots of health things you could be choosing. I couple of bites of a bronie on occasion is okay if you have the will power to do it. High fat and sugar food don't agree with me so it is a lot easier for me to stay away from those things.
