Anyone out there who can give info on the cost, recovery time, etc.? It's been two years since my RNY and I am having serious issues with extra skin. Thanks for all your help, Pam R

If you haven't, why not post on the Plastic Surgery board. There are lots of people over there who are having or just have had PS. Good luck!

I had brancheoplasty (bat wing removal) a little over 1 year ago and the scars are healing over and getting less noticable. I self paid, as the insurance co consider this cosmetic. Since my ps surgeon had already done a panniculectomy and breast reduction she gave me a discount. My cost was around $5000.00 total her fee, anatheseologist, and hospital fee. I went home a few hours after surgery.I had to keep my arms wrapped to decress the swelling. I only use pain meds for the first 3 days, then the pain was tollerable. Well worth the time and money. I had my arms done in October of 2004. At the same time I had my breasts lifted and silicone implants put in, so I don't know what the arms would have cost seperately. The pain was very tolerable and totally worth it. My scars go through my armpits and down to my elbows, but they are fading and don't show when I have my arms down (which is most of the time). I can now wear sleeveless tops, something I had not done in years! I had difficulty reaching things in high cupboards for a week or so, I just put things I needed on the counter and was able to do whatever I needed, cooking, etc. without any problem. I love my arms now. I'm really glad I had it done. Connie -147#
