Question regarding stretch marks

I have a question for all of you postop success stories. While I know, I will never wear a bikini, I would like to eventually wear some sexy tops that may show off my tummy at least a little. My question is regarding the stretch marks. I have had lots of them since way before WLS. When our tummies shrink, do the stretch marks get worse or better? Does a TT help the stretch marks so that we can wear more revealing clothing?
Mine got worse because all my skin is wrinkly and they stand out more. I'm black (as if you haven't noticed by my pic 
) so I cannot speak to the whole tanning thing.

But you may still have some but everyone has them, even Angelina, Paris, Brittany, etc. Mine actually got better, I started to use Strevectin (sold at Macy's & Lord & Taylor), it expensive ($150 a tube) but it really helped me. I have stretch mark from puberty that where deep, but they are definitely less noticeable. Just so you know I had to use it a few months before I saw a noticeable difference, but I swear by this stuff !!!!
