Tips for night time eating
Dear Laura,
Oh, man, I'm glad I checked this message board. I was afraid to post on the main forum about this. My problem hasn't been at night, it's at work. There is always some kind of junk in the kitchen. It really has to be back to basics, doesn't it? I used to pack a lunch with all the proper snacks and avoid the kitchen at work. Guess that's what's necessary. I gained four pounds over Christmas and my weight loss slowed down before then because I was getting into bad habits. Thanks, all of you, for your honesty. I did throw out all of the holiday goodies the day after Christmas instead of waiting until New Years and that helped. You've gotton some good suggestions, and now I have too. We can do it!
((hugs))
Theresa
Get that stuff out of your hose. You can't eat what isn't there. Even your family doesn't need snacks unless it;s fruit, veggie, or sugar free jello, pudding, or popcicles. Eating cheese without crackers will not make you gain, nor will eating meat. Adding carbs to your protein, like crackers or chips makes it worse and simply adds calories that make you gain.
I have the same problem. I do fine during the day but in the evening I can't seem to stop eating. I have gained about 20 pounds since surgery about three and a half years ago. I am really trying to stock up on some healthy alternatives. That way when i get themunchies at night I have some better alternatives. I am glad i hve fond this board. I thought I was the only one who was gaining and I felt like such a failure. The fear of going back to what I once was is so scary for me.
