Cookies - be GONE!!!!!

Ok, it's January 2nd now, the holidays are all but over. I've had a wonderful, very blessed holiday season this year and enjoyed every minute of it! Unfortunately, that included many cookies! I have never dumped, but never really pushed the limit either. Well, I got a little braver with all these yummy Christmas cookies around (everywhere!) and pushed that limit a little further, and still did not dump. I did enjoy a cookie or two (or three) here and there and now they need to be GONE!!!! I still didn't eat anywhere near the amount I used to in the past, and it felt good to have control. It did feel good to be able to eat a couple of cookies and not suffer guilt afterwards! But what I've realized is, I do NOT want this to be a habit, or even a frequent thing. I'm going to put cookies back into the category of "once in a great while". So, goodbye Christmas cookies - it was fun while it lasted!!! By the way, with all of my indulging I only gained 2 lbs from Thanksgiving to now, so I'm pretty happy about that. Of course I still walk 2-3 miles every morning so I'm sure that's helped keep my metabolism running high! I hope you all had a great holiday season too! I don't even want to THINK about Valentines Day Take care everyone and Happy New Year!!!! Jeanne

I agree Jeanne! I worked really hard to drop a few extra pounds between Thanksgiving and Christmas so that I could enjoy my holidays without guilt. I had a bit of this and a bit of that~probably too much, but didn't do too much damage b/c I prepared ahead of time. Now the party's over, LOL, and its back to reality!!!!!! Tracy B 328/150 5'9"
