other surgeries

Hi, I had RNY in June,2006 and am scheduled for an abdominal hysterectomy in March. This will only be a 9 month interval. Have any of you had to have surgery following RNY in less then a year from your surgery? If so, what kind and how long from your WLS? Thanks

I had Rny 1/15/04 and had my gall bladder out 12/17/04. I did fine. I recovered pretty quickly. I recovered well from my plastic surgery too that I had in January 2006 which was a tummy tuck and breast lift with augmentation. You should do fine. Just make sure to get plenty of protein as that aids in healing. Good luck. melissa

I also had my gallbladder removed after rny.....4 months after....it all went well!! Off work for a week, the only problem I had was being wore out....I was still going thru the sleepy stage of the WLS surgery.....

Boy, your gall bladder did you bad pretty quick. I really think mine was doing bad a few months before they took it out. They just didn't diagnose it. But I think it was to blame for some of my early troubles. I don't know about you but I sure I am glad to have it gone. Don't miss it a bit. LOL.
