stone in the bile duct

my cousin had gastric bypass 7 years ago. recently he has not been able to keep food down .. he would get bad pains in his stomach and vomit..he recently went for a ct scan and it showed a stone in the bbile duct.. has anyone experienced this..now he has to see the surgeon..........thanks dana

It is the Gallbladder. I know surgeons who take it out when they do the WLS because they know this happens. I did some extreme dieting years ago that let to the gallstones. It is an easy procedure and you are back to work in a few days.

Dana I had my gallbladder taken out over 30 years ago and when I have had scans they do show them in the ducts. I think it is kind of common. Sometimes they hurt me too...and lately a lot for some reason, but I do not know what they can do about it at this point!!! I hope your cousin finds some relief!!!!
