No reason to wait until after the holidays. Plan for the next 4 days.. Pre Break Coffee with 1 scoop any whey powder and sf hazelnut creamer 17gms Brek Slimfast Low Carb shake 20gm protein Lunch Cheese stick and sliced turkey or tuna Snack Slimfast Low Carb shake Dinner what high protein low carb meal I make my family eat Snack Low Carb shake That should give me about 80+ grams of protein and the shake are just 200 cal each with 5 grams of carb. I am going to do this Tue, Wed, Thur and Fri. We'll see what happens. Anyone got any suggestions? Ideas? Thoughts? Morning Jen, Well the most important thing is that you DO have a PLAN!! Yes I think that is half the battle, the other half is keeping those old habits at bay. I gained quite a bit and realized it when I weighed myself last January, but like you I had to formulate a plan. I started back to support groups, logging food and seeing my WLS doctor to get back on track. It didn't take long to get the weight off but like you said how EASILY it can come back when I have a relapse. I knew deep down what I was doing wrong, not excersing much, eating too many bad carbs and totally ignore the fact that my clothes were getting tight. Also I have NO problem with sugar, totally my downfall. Fast foward 6 months, I am a happy size 10-12 now and I have implented a plan for this holiday season. Plus I want to be realistic, I love food so I just want to maint my 182-185 this year. So here is what I am doing: Logging my food PROTEIN, PROTEIN....GET IT IN!!! (some days this is hard) Weighing myself every Sunday morning(keeps me accountable) Choosing my treats wisely - by this I mean I think about what I will enjoy the most and save myself for that treat. Went to see my doctor for check up Exercise DAILY, weight training 3x a week NO BAKING this year, not even with Splenda.... why put myself thru that!!! I don't beleive in "dieting" never did, but I do beleive in adjusting and tweeking our lifestyles. Maybe park at the end of the mall, walk up the stairs, go out dancing... find something you like to jazz it up a bit. And when you don't feel like doing anything, as many times I do, I put my headphones on and go for a 20 minute walk - hey better than anything. ok have a great day and remember , it is a journey for us. Peace.... kim in chicago

I have learned that this is a life long battle. Some days are easy and some days are really hard. Today I am cleaning out the fridge! There are evil carbs in there. I have noticed that left overs are a catastrophe for me. I just hate wasting. But I guess wasting food is better than it going to my waist (ha, ha) I am going to eat half a power bar for a snack right now and then have salad with some type of protein for lunch ( I am going out for lunch) and I am not taking a doggy bag home! I am going to a dinner party tonight, I am just going to eat lite and limit myself to 2 glasses of wine and then no before bed snack. Tomorrow I will log all food and aim for less than 1200 calories. Before my dinner party tonight I am going to get in a 90 minute work out. I weighed 150 lbs this morning~ What is this world coming to? I need to get to 140 but at minimum be at my all time low of 145.

That sounds good Jen!!!! I always try to push my water intake up to around 100oz during those times. Also, what's your exercise routine?? Might want to change it up a bit or add something extra if you haven't been doing much. Good Luck and keep us posted on your progress! Tracy B 328/150 5'9"
