Well today is Day 3 and so far so good. Here is what I ended up eating yesterday: Breafast - Protein shake, 1 piece of chocolate Lunch - 2 hard boiled eggs, 1c Jello Snack - Stick of cheese, Protein shake, 1 icecream bar Dinner - 1 hard boiled egg, 1c Jello 830pm snack at night job - BB Carb Freedom Yogurt 1145pm snack at night job - Protein Shake Total: 904 calories, 103g+ protein Yesterday wast bad at all - our company did our monthly celebration of birthdays and we had icecream treats... I picked the one with the less calories which turned out to be a sugar free, dark chocolate icream thingy on a stick. I guess I have been allowing one treat and day - and that was it. Today will be the same minus icecream bar. I already had my treat for the day - someone's bday was today and they brought in fudge brownies! Yummy.... I just had to. So here is just one note I thought I would make... I am CORKED! Between the eggs, cheese, and protein shakes - I am clogged! Usually I can at least one to two times a day but I didnt yesterday and I am feeling it! Along with all my vitamins today I will also be taking some natural colon cleansing pills to help with the issue. Other than that - I lost more weight - so I am happy. Oh! 1 more note! I am really not hungry! This limited diet had really made me realize how much head hunger I had... I used to tell myself I needed to eat because I was hungry.... Im not! Honestly! I have to almost make myself eat when it comes to mealtime... I dont have craving - that is one bonus of this diet I guess. It is making me realize the difference between being hungry and head hunger. This really gives me motivation that I can lose weight at 18+ months post-op! Monday Weight: 194.5lbs Tuesday Weight: 191.5lbs Today's Weight: 190.0 We will see what tomorrow brings! Melissa 312.5/190/156

Hi Melissa Congrats on your success with this back-on-track program. You are an inspiration. I know how hard it is to stick to a daily routine. I allow myself one or two sugar-free treats each week. My favourite is the s/f ice cream bars. I account for the extra calories in my intake. It is a really good alternative to be able to treat yourself and not feel guilty about it. I'm still struggling to lose another 24 pounds. I'm hopeful that 2007 will be my goal year. I don't think you stop losing after the initial window of opportunity has passed, it just gets harder and requires more determination. It sounds like you have the determination to become very successful. I wish you all the best for a great 2007 ! Karen G

Congratulations Melissa on doing this for yourself. I agree, when I did the 3 day liquid fast I realized that lots of times I eat because I need to or because of head hunger. It amazes me how little food it really takes to be satisfied. 4.5 lbs in 3 days is wonderful. Dana

Seriously - make a high protein diet for yourself and stick with it for at least a week - allow yourself treats - if you deny yourself then you will binge for them... I am really loving this experience... it is teaching me how to use my pouch all over again... like a refresher course.
