Well I havent been doing so good - eating what I want - when I want. I put on about 5 lbs within the last month... It just started creepin on me. Today is DAY 1 of a controlled high protein - low cal diet. We will do two days of the following and then modify it for the rest of the week just to jump start some weight loss. Breakfast - Protein Shake Lunch - 1c. Jello, 2 Large hard boiled eggs Snack - 1 stick of cheese, Protein Shake Dinner - 1c. Jello, 1 Large hard boiled egg, Protein Shake Total (according to Fitday): Calories - 634, Fat - 23g, Carbs - 3g, Protein - 94g! Todays Weight: 194.5lbs I am posting this just to hold myself accountable. You know when you put something in writing for others to see, you are more likely to follow through with it. I will post everyday this week to tell you all how I am doing. I am just desperate to get these last pouonds off - after not losing the last 6 months. I know it is my fault. I eat after I am satisfied. I eat the wrong things. I snack all the time. At least I havent started regaining that much before I put a stop to it. I just made this high protein diet to kind of jump start things once again.

Mel, that doesn't seem like enough food. I wouldn't want you to pass out or anything. Hugs, Tracy

Well lets hope I dont!!! Well I was getting in just about the same amount of calories when I was on my 2 week pre-surgery liquid diet and even more protein... we will see, I may throw in another snack to up my calories. We will see. I'm just doin this for 2-3 days... not for a very long time

Keep it up Melissa! It is hard to start but everything is possible if you really want it. We are all(WLS patients) in the same boat, we are going through the same problems and words of encouragement will help us survive.

Good Luck Melissa! I know you can do it! I've found the first 2 or 3 days is tough, but then it gets so much easier! I've definitely found myself in the same situation and it always amazes me that the tool really does still work! Hugs, Tracy B

lm at the same place that you seem to be in. I'm a year out though, I've already lost about 63 lbs and I have 20 to go. For the last 6 months I have been eating whatever I wanted when I wanted, I have been excercising though and I haven't put on any weight, thank goodness. But now I'm afraid that if I don't start loosing, I never will, or it will be too hard. You sound like you have a good plan. I went to stayfit.com and recorded everything I ate today, for me I'm eating too many fats, it helped somehow knowing that and I think that tomorrow I will be able to eat less fat. I wish you luck with your plan, just try not to punish yourself by eating too little.cj

a little low on the calorie count. Be careful you don't starve yourself. Protein choices are excellent. I'm kinda in the same place as you. I've re-committed myself to get to 149. I'm 154 now, so only 6 pounds to go! Personally I would add in another protein rich snack. Exercise will make a huge difference as well as getting in extra water. I've lost 6-7 pounds or so this month by staying under 1000 calories, 80 grams of protein a day and drinking 1 gallon of water/tea/Crystal light. It's working, so loosing at this stage is very possible (2 + years).
