I'm new on this and i must say its a great place to be. I dont always get to my support meetings and this is a great way to stay connected and motivated. I wanted to know if any of you are constantly hungry. I've been out for a year and recently i've just been really hungry all the time and im losing weight a lot slower i try not to snack but its not easy and i also try the water loading but that doesnt always work. Any suggestions??

Welcome Monique. My weightloss slowed down alot around the 1yr mark and my hunger came back shortly after that too. I try to incorporate dense protein into my daily diet to keep my feeling full longer. I also don't drink with meals~30min before and I try to wait 60min after~that also helps me feel full longer. My water intake is around 100oz daily~this helps b/c sometimes thirst feels like hunger for food. If I need snack, I try to make it a sensible choice as often as possible, LOL! Good Luck and hope to see you around the Grad's Board often! Tracy B 328/150 5'9"

HI! I stopped losing weight about 7 months out. I have a hard time staying on track. I use this website as a constant reminder of what I should be doing. It works for me. I sometimes feel hungry all the time too.... However, I noticed that when I reduce the amount of artificial sweetners, my appetite is not as big. Also, I notice that often times, I eat when actually my physical body is not hungry. So I guess just thinking of whether or not you are physically hungry before eating will help to decipher whether or not you really should eat.

Thanks for all your help. I did hear that artificial sweetners tend to increase your appetite. And yes i also find that i tend to eat when i'm not hungry bc i think i should be eating at that particular time of the day. Something to work on. Thx again
