Ok.. I am the Queen of Tumors ..
OK .. I have yet another tumor . This one is on my thyroid . About 3 inches in diameter.. they found it when I went for my check up last week for my last tumor they removed from my adrenal gland ...
So .. has anyone ever experienced a thyroid tumor .. or know anyone that has .. ?
I go for a needle biopsy soon , and hope they can just asperate the dang thing rather than cut my goozle open . But I will do what ever they want I guess ... I am being seen at John Hopkins .. Thank God ! And not NIH ..
On a lighter note .. I am having my TT and a Hernia Repair done on January 23rd .. Yippee !!! So I am pushing in the protein .. Like Crazy ..
Thanks as always,
Natalie
Hello:
Actually thyroid nodules are pretty common. The majority are benign and just a nuisance. A needle biopsy is standard as well as a scan to see if it is a "hot or cold" nodule. That helps determine the course of action. Glad to hear that you are going to JH. They will take great care of you. All the best. Good luck with the TT and repair!!

I have a feeling that this tumor is just more a nuisance than anything else. Just a feeling I have anyway. I'm glad your gonna get your TT and hernia repair done. I know youv'e been putting it off because of all that's been going on, but I know you feel great now that you have a date.
I went to my PS and I'm having the outer thighs/Buttocks lift and a small revision to the top of my TT on February 27th. I guess it's the winter of pain for both of us.
I may be coming to stay up that way in April for about 8 days. I'm consulting with Dr. Mark Richards in Bethesda for the minimal incision brachioplasty. I don't want a long scar because of my bellydancing (We raise our arms alot). He invented this technique and I'd rather go to someone who has done alot of these with success. I love my PS (Adore him actually!), but he has only done a few of the minimal incision type and is reluctant to do one on me. It's what I want, so it's what I plan on getting. I'm hard-headed like that.
suck down that protein girl, it makes a world of difference. I've been taking triple vitamins and I'm healing really well! If you get new "girls" in the future, I have some good healing tips for you on that.
Lots of hugs,
Jane
I had nodules in my thyroid . Because one was a little big the doctor suggested that either I could wait 3 months and check it again or have it removed. I chose to have it removed instead of worring for three months. He took half my thyroid , left me with my perithyroids and the other half . It turned out to be Goiter. And I'm glad I did have that surgery because then I realized that I would come out of anesthesia ok ( my biggest fear of wls) so that's when I started my wls journey.
I go see the doctor tomorrow about my hernia. Don't know if he will hold off to see if I get clearance from the ps about my tummy tuck ( about six weeks wait) or just see about having it done sooner.
Good Luck,
Sandy
