Strange question for me! I am looking for things you tried that worked in maintaining a weight. Thanks in advance! Amy

Amy, I had the same thing happen in January, went 11 lbs below goal and needed to stop. I was only allowed 3 meals per day, added 2 snacks and a couple of protein shakes and the weight stopped, not sure if it was due to that (yea some) but I think it's was where my body was comfortable also. You probably need to increase your calorie intake just a bit and see if it helps. Good Luck! Dana PS, ever thought you'd say, I need to stop losing????

Dana, I have read your posts on and off since I had my surgery. I do kind of remember you having the same problem! Right now I do not exercise and I drink with meals. I also snack and I feel like I eat all the time. I will try to be more consistant with the protein shakes. Thanks for your support! Your journey has been amazing! And no way in he11 did I think I would need to TRY to stop loosing weight! Life is stranger than fiction. amy

Hi Amy! I have this problem still after being out 3.5 years. I have to eat every 3-4 hours. If I eat 3 meals a day I can drop 5 pounds in one day. How strange it works for some people. I know some other people in Michigan that have the same problem. I have to up my calories which really bothers me but its better than being "to thin" and having people drive me crazy with ofhanded remarks about being "TO SKINNY"! Go figure. Have a Happy Holiday!

Amy, I had the same "problem?" My doctor told me to break all the rules and I did but that didn't help. I had to add a high calorie beverage and drink it all day to stop it. At the time, my choice was carb countdown (1/2 gallon per day or 720 calories). I still drink 1/2 gallon of Mootopia per day and that's before eating, protein, etc.; however, that being said, I've been sick with other things and haven't been eating much solid anything b/c of a partial bowel obstruction. I've been fixed for three weeks now and I am eating solid foods again. Just tonight I ate 3 pieces of pizza (crust too) and slugged down a regular Pepsi along with it. I haven't gained an ounce. I do suggest that you speak to your doctor. If it gets so out of control that you're not getting in necessary intake, there is an enzyme you can take to slow down digestion and help you maintain/gain. Best, Vanessa

I'm having the same issue! I can't eat very much at one time, STILL. My surgery was 2/16/04-Lap RNY. I am down to 102, and I am 5'6". My husband says I look anorexic without my clothes on (sorry if TMI ). I have had an EGD done, and they say nothing is "wrong", I have an appt with my surgeon on 12/22/06 so hopefully he will be able to give me some suggestions, other than the million I've already tried.... Good luck to you as well! Sherri Lap RNY 2/16/04 242>102
