How'd everyone body do? Report in. Remember, if you didn't meet your goals... you've got 4 more weeks to do it. I know that's how I'm looking at it. LOL!
Here is the original post. If you didn't join in over the prior last weeks, join now. 4 more weeks to go!
I got to the gym twice which is a marked improvement. Didn't go other days since I was so sore! Owie. Went this morning so a good start to this week.
Take care folks!

8 Week Challenge - Who Is Down Wid That?

Post the things that you'd like to work on in the next 8 weeks. The challenge will last from today until Christmas day which is as you many have guessed - 8 weeks from today. Makes some positive changes. Work on getting in your water or vitamins. Work on getting in your protein. Working on moving your body to get it fit and toned.
We'll have a weekly check in for those participating. Remember you can jump in at any time.
Some suggestions of things to keep in mind:
1. Try not to post "I want to lose 10 lbs by Christmas" - we all know this far post-op that it is hard to truly gauge how much weight our bodies will lose and how fast/slow it will go. It would be wiser to chose eating, water, vitamin and fitness goals that might yield weight loss when done consistently over the 8 week period.
2. Try not commit to doing anything every single solitary day during the 8 weeks. Do not set yourself up for failure from the start. We all know that is derned near impossible to do something every day. Illness, problems, work, family and just plain life gets in the way. Setting a goal of "I'm going to get 100 oz of water in and all my vitamins in at least 5 days a week every week" is better than saying you are going to do it 7 days a week. See my point? (See I actually did pay attention at Weigh****chers and other therapy type meetings).
3. Be sure to set yourself some cool reward at the end for a job well done. Whether it is buying yourself something if it is in the budget, a spa treatment, or just going to the library and getting a good book and allowing yourself the free time to doing nothing else but sit and read - go for it!
Don't know if I am going to loose those 10 pounds before Christmas (LOL - jk) --
Have exercised like crazy - lost several inches - Been swimming laps 3 times a week, karate class 2 times a week. Have lost about 4-5 pounds. Taking all my supplements.
Most importantly - feel 100% better.
Working this week on making sure I get enough water in. I think I do, but making conscious effort of so I will know for sure.

My goal was to limit splurges to one day per weekend and to take my meds, vits and water on weekends (I don't have any problems eating right, gettin in water and vits through the week, only on weekends). This past weekend was good food-wise. I was a "model of self-control" on Sunday (an absolute pig on Saturday, but we won't go into that!). I honestly do not remember if I took my meds and vits, but I know I got in my water.
Kathy, geez I think I'm losing my mind, I'll have to go back to old post and see what my goals even were but I'm sure one of them was to get away from sugar. I'm really proud of myself on not eating sugar since my liquid diet 2 weeks ago. I did eat a couple bits of S/F pumpkin and pecan pie for Thanksgiving but not very much.
I need to work on my water right now. For some reason (I'm assuming cooler weather), I'm not wanting to drink as much so it's a challenge everyday to drink at least 64 oz of water.

Yep. I'm still in.
I went to the pool again today. I did miss one swim a week the last 2 weeks because of travel and Thanksgiving. But---upward and onward. I WILL make it twice this week and I'm appreciate the challenge because it keeps me on track. Today I added the styrofoam "weights" to my routine which adds resistance. I can feel it in my arms already. Oi! What a good feeling.
Thanks!
