I think I'm a grad

Good morning, I'm new to this board and am looking forward to sharing with all of you. I had lap RNY on 1/2/06 and I do feel like a different person. In all my wildest dreams, I never imagined having such success. Of course, I wanted to be successful, but after all the near-misses over the years, I was skeptical. I didn't reach 259 by having total control over my life. Each day I weigh and give thanks that I'm healthier. I had a total knee replacement on 6/6/06 and was able to put so much effort into my rehab. My husband and I were able to travel to Ireland in October and I have never enjoyed a vacation so much. To walk at least 2 miles each day and feel great was such a gift. I read in WLS Lifestyles that just because you have lost a lot of weight doesn't mean that the battle with morbid obesity is over. I will fight the fight for the rest of my life. I am so grateful there is a place that I can go and join others in the same fight. Thank you all for being here. Paula 259/138/??

Thank you both for your response. Each day that passes I am so grateful for the opportunity to live my life at a healthier weight. I will be 11 months out tomorrow. What a year!
