New to this board
Hi
My name is Janet. I guess I am considered a WLS Graduate. I had open bypass surgery on 11/21/05. I have lost 112 lbs. I would like to loose 15 more lbs for my personal goal. My surgeon is very happy where I am now. I have a normal BMI. I am now in the process of looking into a lower body lift. None of my pants fit correctly because the the hanging skin around my middle. This journey has had many ups and downs and life has finially settled down and I feel like a somewhat of a normal person. Since I have hit my one year mark I have become obsessed with the scale. I weigh myself everyday making sure I do not gain. Gaining weight is my biggest fear since many people gain weight 2 years after surgery. I do not want this happening to me! I look forward to getting to know everyone on this board.
Have a Happy Thankgiving everyone.
Janet
Welcome Janet and Congratulations on all of your success!!!!
I have been a daily weigher since I hit my 1yr anniversary and it has really helped me to stay on track. If I go up a few pounds, then I really watch what I eat for a few days and get it right back off. Gaining weight is my #1 fear too b/c lets face it, obviously we've never been good at maintaining or we never would have ended up obese (for most of us anyway).
I hope you are able to get the plastics that you want! Hope to see you around often!

Janet,
This is my first time on this board, as well. Welcome. I had my lap RNY on 1/2/06 and am down 115 pounds since the surgery. I don't know about you, but I'm so glad that Thanksgiving has passed. I was so worried about how I would handle the holiday that I really didn't enjoy the meal at all. I, too, weigh each morning when I get out of the shower. I never want to lose sight of how far I've come and how easy it would be to start picking up a couple of pounds here and there. My son is getting married on January 6th and I have my dress -- it's a size 8 and I was wearing a 2X at this time last year. I certainly have lots to be thankful for at this time of year. I wish you much continued success and a happy holiday season.

Hi Janet.
Happy Anniversary. I had open Fobi pouch surgery on 10/03/05, about a month before you did. I try not to weigh myself too much, because then I obsess about that.
The scale is still going down...but I wonder about how I'll react when it stops, even though I want it to stop. I want to maintain a healthy weight, not too high - not too low. It's hard to strike a balance. Maybe some of the people who have gone before us will be able to guide us.
I feel like a newbie all over again.

i had WLS 3/11/2005. I have lost 110 lbs (130 total) since surgery. I am 5'1" and weight 135 or less. I guess, I am at goal. I weigh everyday and write it down--keep a calendar in bathroom and record each day. I do not consider this addiction--just keeping track.
I had PS 11/6/2006. Had TT,BA,BL.
