Well, I had my first anniverary on the 16th. I'm feeling good, am down 110 pounds since before surgery and am at my personal goal. I look forward to getting to know you folks and learn more about what to expect in the years to come. Happy Thanksgiving! Matt

Hi Dawn - I had a lap RNY which went really smooth for me. Maintenance is going okay. I'm still losing a little (a pound or so every 2 to 3 weeks). I'm at my personal goal of 175, but 10 pounds away from a normal BMI. My PA says she would only want to see me lose 5 more pounds at the most. She understands the desire to have a normal BMI, but says that my be unrealistic because the BMI calculator does not take an individual's frame or sex into consideration. I feel I can still eat too much and am not normally satisfied for long. I am somewhat fearful of losing too much weight. I lost quite a bit of upper body strength that I am working to rebuild. Thanks for the welcome, Matt

Matt, Happy anniversary! I will be 11 months out on 12/2 and am looking forward to reaching that same milestone. What a year this has been! I'm 3 pounds away from my personal goal and more determined than ever to get there. Never felt so good. Paula 259/138/??

Hi Paula - Thanks for the reply! Only 3 pounds from your goal - you can do it with the next month! You're definitely right about feeling the best ever and being in awe over what has transpired over the last year. I still have to pinch myself sometimes - or go back and look at my "before" pictures. I'm still amazed. Take care, Matt

Hey Matt, This is the very first time I have ever posted, but I wanted to congratulate you on a good job! I had my wls Aug.19th 05 and I am now at 131 and sz 4! I hit my goal of 135 and even went alittle further. Doctor sure wants me to stop now, and I think I all but have.... Its been a couple of months since any wt loss. I now seem to be eating all the time.. I do empty out and have to eat something small every couple of hours, I think thats something I will have to do from now on, but HEY thats just fine with me Congrats again, Lynn
