I just found this board
I just now found this board. I think I qualify for it my lap rny was on 5/31/05 and down 150#. Thinking bout getting my bat wings taken off the other stuff doesn't bother me but the wings drive me crazy. I also check the scale once or twice a week to see if I am gaining even though I haven't changed any thing that I am doing. I guess it is the fat chick deep inside still thinking she still has a chance. Does anyone else have thoughts like this?

Lesa, This is a great board - lots of information and support! I check the scales daily. Mentally I have to stay on top of my game so I need to know my numbers. Also I still log what I eat on Fitday.com. I had my surgery in May 04 but because I know myself and my habits - I have to pay attention to what I put in my mouth!! LOL!!! I still see the "fat chick" somedays.... I am having a LBL with BA/BL in Feb so I am excited to finally see the spare tire go away!!!! Maybe then I will see the "skinny chick" that everyone else tells me they see!
Welcome to a great board!

Welcome Lesa.
Congrats on your wonderful success.
I'm 23 months post-op and still struggling to lose the last 25 pounds. I want to get to 150, like you. Then, I would like to have a tummy tuck and a breast reduction. Perhaps get my arms done too. I'll decide after I reach my goal. I only weigh myself once per month. I follow the routine and gradually lose between 1 and 4 pounds per month. I still see myself as larger than I am. I grab sizes off the rack that are too large when I try them on in the dressing room. I am in size 10 slacks and I was in size 28 before surgery. It is hard to really wrap my head around all the changes. I am much more focused on maintaining my health these days. I walk on my lunch hour and workout in my home gym. Life is good and this site is the best !!!

Welcome Lesa! Oh yes, I have thoughts like yours all of the time! I'm a daily weigher b/c I need to know exactly where I am every day. I'm an emotional eater so I do have stressful times that effect my eating patterns from time to time~wow is that ever scary! But I'm maintaining nicely for several months now so its all good! I hope to see you here often~its a great place with lots of wisdom, advice and friendship!

Welcome Lesa!
I understand about the "Fat chick" inside thing. I'm so paranoid about gaining weight, it's not even funny. I'm a little OCD about it. So I only weigh once a week now. If I weighed everyday, I'd drive myself crazy. I eat what I want but just in moderation. IT works. Now, If I can just get my but back into the gym!
I'm in the middle of my plastics right now, I'm saving the bat wings for last though. I hate them, but not as much as my flabby thighs. I say, if they bother you the most, get rid of them first!
