Need INfo about Strictures!!

THe last couple of weeks I have had severe pain in my chest when eating solid foods. It hurts to breathe!! It is like food is just sitting in the top of my chest!! I can do liquids with no problems.. Could it be a stricture this far out? I am a little over 3 years post op!~! Renee

I would think it is more likely that you might have an ulcer at this point. Please see your surgeon or a gastroenterologist. Kathy

Renee, it could possibly be a stricture (although rare at this point it does happen) or as Kathy stated an ulcer. Please call your surgeon and proceed with a endoscopy to determine why you are having these pains. Best wishes, Dana
