Body Image Books?
I've embraced the fact I have body image issues. Now that I've lost most of my weight I feel even worse about how I look because of the hanging skin. I've whinned about this on other boards around here. As I start the PS journey to get skin taken care of, I want to make sure to work on my insides as well as my outside.
I haven't had much luck in the therapy department and don't have the time to keep shopping for one I click with. So here's my question, can anyone recommend a body image book? I've had good results with other issues in my life through self help work books. I'm hoping I can find a body image book that can help me see myself for who I am.
Many thanks in advance.

Synopsis
Supermodels as role models, an onslaught of health and beauty advice, and simply poor self-esteem has led to an epidemic of eating disorders among young women. This well-needed book offers a self-help therapeutic program to teach the reader to accept her body.
"Far too many women are burdened by a poor body image, which can impair their emotional and physical health as well. Marcia Hutchinson helps women learn to focus on strengths, not perceived shortcomings."
New York Times - Jane Brody
this book is at www.half.com that's were I get most of my books.
Torrey,
I've bought several from Amazon.com One's called "I'm not Fat Anymore" The author is the blond lady Rhonda Britton from the "Starting Over House" on TV. She is a personal life coach. Her partner on the show IIyana also has several books about self confidence and body image that I've read. Try one it makes a difference on how you look at your body. Luann
I'm not sure I have any books to recommend, but I wanted to tell you I'm also struggling with this. I'm down 185 pounds from my highest and need serious plastics, but we cannot afford to even consider this option and my insurance will not cover it. When I was 362 pounds, I wore clothes and was oblivious to how I looked ( and I have the photos to prove it) but now I find myself obsessing about bumps and buldges that are excess skin and no amount of sucking in my gut will help! Luckily it's the cooler weather again and I can cover up, this summer was rough, especially in a bathingsuit! I felt like the Michelline Tire Man!! Good luck to you!!
