Yep, I'm curious for the specifics too! I might try this next weeks before Thanksgiving to give me a little kick start! Also, can you let us know how the scale holds for the next few days??? Just wondering if once you go back to eating within the appropriate limits if the scale will stay down~I think that it would b/c you won't be consuming the "wrong things" or too many calories. Thanks Dana!

Tracy this is what I did. 3-4 protein shakes a day, 1-2 cups of broth, 1-2 s/f popcicles, s/f jello, lots of water, crystal light and decaf coffee.
I'll let you know what the scale tells me. I do worry about that myself although I'm finding myself eating very little without all the cravings/grazing.

Dana I did the same over the weekend...my scale creeped up to 128 and I knew it was from eating bread which I was craving and everyday I wanted a sandwich...of course I didn't even get a half in me but I have never been able to do carbs.
I stayed with soup and protein drinks with added protein and voila...you and I are the same weight!!! I get on the scale everyday and I know I probably shouldn't but it sure does keep me in check...if I hadn't eating another carb would have probably pushed me to up another pound. I haven't been running just doing pilates due to last plastic surgery. So while I was recovering I was really watching until last week, very eye opeing isn't it? Adding calories like some suggest isn't something I will ever do...I stay around 800-1000 calories a day but I do tons of vitamins and supplements.

It was surely eye opening. On Sunday morning I weighed 125.2 and was like ok .2 lbs over my limit I need to refocus. On Monday morning when I saw 128.3 I lost it. Yes it had some waterweight there, I couldn't of possibly ate enough to again 3 lbs but it kicked my butt in gear.
I am literally not hungry now.....I'm eating protein today but have been amazed how little it takes to feel satisfied.
I too try to keep my calories at about 1000 but I have occassionally gone over. It seems to be what works best for me.
How are you feeling since your last plastics? I haven't even started yet, but my insurance has an exclusion so that's why. I do plan on doing some in 2007 if my job doesn't fizzle out the first quarter. Looking like I might need to find a new job first.

Well I did tummy/butt in June then Sept 22 breast lift/reduction. I feel allot lighter and tighter that is for sure. Dr injected back fat into breast to lift and fill but one might need a litlle tender loving care, its not as full and the other. I see him Dec 13 so I will see what he thinks...I am not disapointed at all...just being able to go without a bra all day is great. Today I splurged and bought some bikini panties but unfortunately my bra size didn't change at all...pretty amazing since I had a reduction/lift. I guess I might have been disappointed if I looked out of proportion however my left side is about 1/2 cup size smaller. I hope he sees it the same way I do and maybe it just needs some fat injections. He told me they took the fat from my back, sure there is more there they can use. LOL
All in all I am pretty happy with his work. I am going to try to squeeze thigh lift out of my ins co. His office tells me they never had any ins co authorize this so I am prepared if they say no but my bariatric surgeon says yes they will cover it, its all in the wording "medically necessary" and they share an office so time will tell.
I am sorry to hear your ins has an exclusion, mine says they "do not" cover plastic surgery at all but they did (medically necessary). Maybe you need to talk with a few plastic surgeons who are in your network and have worked with bariatric patients or maybe talk to your bariatric surgeon to see if he can help. It does cost allot. I could have never had done it without my ins.
When I think back just a few months ago I would look in the mirror and avoid my tummy and boobs, throw on a robe real fast after my shower so I wouldn't get depressed looking at myself. Now its done and I am fully recovered and that was 4 months ago. It's all been worth. So far I have traveled nearly 7000 miles back and forth from Ft. Myers to Tampa and don't regret one mile or minute.
Dana, I think all insurance policies have an exclusion about PS. It still might be worth doing a consult. I did one with Dr. LoMonaco, and his office has a lot of experience with getting insurance to work. In the mean time, you might want to make a few trips to your PCP and mention itching and rashes. This where the medical nessesity part comes in.
You luck fab by the way.
