help!!! I am always hungry eatting wrong need help to get back on track.
I am 1 year 6 monthes out. I have not lost weight since April. I have not gained either. I guess that good. I started out at 308 and know weight 211. I want to loss at least 40 to 50 more pounds but can't seem to do it. It's like I am back to square one with my weight. I am always hungry and can eat anything and not get sick. There are times when I am so full I could almost get sick and sometimes do. I not much of cook but am willing to try. I feel lost as to what to eat and how much at this point to continue to loss weight. I have been eatting one hard boiled egg or weight control oatmeal or 1 cup bran flakes for breadfast. That I think I got. Lunch is a different story as is dinner. I work and other than plain chicken, salad, veggies. To me that gets boring fast and I start to crave other foods I should not be eatting which leads to overeatting. I try to get the water in and I end up in the bathroom more that at my desk. But I still drink it. I have stayed away from fast food which was my biggest problem before surgury. I have started to drink more diet pop but its not that bad. Sweets is a different sorry. I need some help anyone that can give suggustions would be great.
Wendy - I think everyone has gone throught this! I recently had to go back to the basics of protein only to loose some weight I gained. Go back to basics - proteins first, then veggies and limit the carb. Also I am not sure how much exercise you are getting - Exercise is a big part of this!! Water, water and more Water.....!!!!!
Stay positive and go back to the basics - track your food and exercise on Fitday.com - that also helps!!
Also stay on the Board - there are a lot of helpful tools and support here! I am sure I could have not lost my weight if it had not been from the support I have received!!
Keep in touch! I know you can do it!!!

Hi Wendy, as Valerie said, many of us go through this. I have been dealing with a slight gain and cravings for over 3 weeks. I decided enough was enough. On Monday I started a liquid diet (water, broth, crystal light, protein shakes, s/f jello, s/f popcicles), since Monday I am down as of tonight 5 1/2 lbs. For me this is what I felt would help the most to refocus.
I will begin eating protein rich foods tomorrow and low glycemic vegetables. Go back to basics: protein first, good vegetables, fruit. Lots and lots of water will also keep you satisfied.
With the holidays upon us, I think refocusing and gaining control is necessary.
As for lunch, some of my favorite choices are: ham and cheese rollup, tuna or chicken salad, grilled chicken caesar salad, cheese and turkey pepperoni.
Sweets are evil and my downfall, I wish I dumped. Since the liquid diet, I'm not craving them...you need to decarb yourself....no carbs for 3-5 days and you will not have those cravings.
Best wishes,
Dana
Just my 2 cents worth. Too much variety does not make it easier to stick to a plan. I have a protein shake for breakfast with some of my vitamins every single morning of the week; lunch is a good size salad with kidney beans, vinegar and oil, and some fruit. Afternoon snack can be a fruit, some yogurt or some peanuts. Dinner is 1-2 pieces of fish, a veggie like asparagus, good size salad with vinegar and oil, and fruit. I like to snack at night so I have fruit, trail mix, popcorn, or some other non-too high on calories food. That's it. Occasionally I have a glass of wine. I eat a lot of fish or seafood during the week, and only taste bread, potatoe or rice (and I literally mean taste). I am over 3 years out and have kept my weight off since then. I think if you have too many choices we make the wrong ones. Stick to a simple plan, I think it will help. I got that advice from a very very good Weigh****cher leader many years ago. Hope this helps. Good luck to you. Missy
a couple of days ago was my one year anniversary. I have gained 12 pounds or so in the past few months. I struggle a lot with my eating also. It is beneficial to know that I am not alone. I found that reducing the amount of artificial sweetner helps me. Plus, I keep trying to remind myself to plan my meals... therefore, I can stick to a healthier menu. I just remind myself of the saying that says something like --------no one plans to fail, you just fail to plan".
