i think something is wrong here...
Hey girl, I'm late posting but I agree try upping your calories, shake things up a bit.
I definitely feel your frustration, Sunday morning the scale showed I weighed 128.2 lbs and I flipped out. I was hysterical and a basket case the rest of the day. On Monday, Blane and I started a liquid diet. Did well Monday and Tuesday, today I am having protein shakes and a small grilled chicken caesar salad only.
As of this morning I'm back down to 123.2 and my attitude is much better. I think we will always have to deal with the scale and fine tuning ourselves, it isn't magic unfortunately. Always something, sigh.
Hello fellow Missourian! I agree 100% with the others....up those calories (and your protein). You've got to fuel the body enough to get the metabolism fired-up...with the calories you're taking in considering the amount of exercise you're getting, it's highly likely your body is hoarding fat. Besides the weight loss stall, another indicator that you're not getting enough calories (and healthy carbs) is that you're falling asleep early. All the energy you have is being used up trying to keep you awake - not enough in the tank to burn fat.
Another suggestion is to balance your workouts with a combination of weight/resistance training along with your cardio workouts. Building some additional lean muscle increases your fat burning potential - even when at rest. Once again though if you do this, upping the calories and protein are still a MUST. Keep track of what you're adding in - increase it in increments and see how it effects your weight loss and/or gain.
People roll their eyes and others send me hate mail when I say this - but I never experienced a plateau.
I know this is not normal - just the truth in how my weight loss progressed. I did however experience slowed rates of weight loss and any time this ever occurred, a slight increase in calories and protein worked for me and put me back on what I considered an acceptable pace. Once again, this is merely what I experienced - what works for one doesn't work for the other.
Good Luck!

thanks for the info! and hey you won't get any hate mail from me on not experiencing a plateau. that's awesome! i do some weight resisitance and some of the videos i do you use weights or resistance bands. i do have free weights also but i've been slacking on those lately. i'm pretty happy with all areas except my tummy. my legs and arms are coming along nicely most of the excess skin is gone now. i'll definitely try upping my calorie intake cuz good grief i hate falling asleep so early! i miss all my good fall programs and my hubby gets frustrated because we spend no time together anymore. just dinner and that's about as long as i can stay awake. thanks again for the info and i'll take your advice.
Cards Fan, I too haven't experienced a true plateau. The only stall I had was from week 3 through 5 with only 1 lb loss, week 6 I lost 6 lbs and lost steady til I reached and surpassed my goal.
I do believe it's a matter of each of us learning how our body reacts.
Congrats on a successful journey and you won't get hate mail from me either
.
