Thanks guys you all have some very good ideas. I don't have that much more to loose but I haven't lost in some time. I don't eat alot of carbs they will make my scale go crazy therefore it makes me crazy and my family pays. I am 21 months out and I hate the scale so much more now, I think because I care so much more for myself and all that I have accomplished in the last months. Keep posting - you all have really helped me so Thank you so much. deb k

Hey Deb Your correct in watching the lbs carefully.. The 4 lbs will be 10 in no time if we don****ch it carefully.. I was so dumb as to think that I would never get hungry again or gain after the surgery and to be honest my Dr's Office wasnt real clear on that in telling me all that.. I have since learned that we DO HAVE TO WATCH the scale, we have to watch what we eat , The benefit of the tool we have from surgery is that it doesnt take near as much to fill us if we dont graze all day ..... Most get in trouble with the grazing ,,,, a tablespoon of this , a bite of that etc ..SPEAKING FROM EXPERIENCE So glad some of the info helped .. Shirl

I think the 'mini meal' plan is key for further weight loss. I found I do not binge or overeat when I eat this way. It also forces meal planning. I have to eat 3500 calories a day to maintain and the only way I can keep that level is to eat just about every 2 hours. This is problematic at work, so I've found that on Sunday night, I cook all my 'meals' for the week, package them up and just pack a small cooler every day. It sounds like alot of work, but my calorie intake is consistant from day to day. The only meal that varies, is dinner..where I eat whatever my wonderful wife cooks. I'm also pretty boring though..and eat the same thing for every other meal during the week. This week is a little variety.. Wake up: Protein shake B: 1 cup Oatmeal w/ prunes and raisens. Protein shake 1. 3 eggs, 1/2 cup pinapple 2. 3oz buffalo burger w/ oatmeal filler. 3. 4oz steak and 1/2 cup brown rice 4. 4oz chicken and 1/2 cup brown rice 5. 1oz almonds (about 20 almonds) and an apple 6. Dinner 7. 1 cup cottage cheese

Exercise is the key for continued weight loss................cardio......exercise....where you sweat and get your heart beating hard for a period of time. I hike 2 times a week. 8 mile hikes 1,100-1,300 ft elevation gains. Exercise is keeping me at 200 lbs off and I am still losing, but very slowly. Sandy 347/147/140 5'5" 56 years old open rny
