doc wants me to lose some weight...

Hi everyone, well i saw my surgeon yesterday, he and another surgeon are going to work at the same time to fix some problems. He needs to go back into the lower belly where he did a TT and fixed a hernia . well the hernia may be back along with female problems so he will fix the hernia and she is going to do a Hysterectomy... anyway, when he did the TT he did a great job and my lower belly is sooo tight. but that is a problem. he needs to cut in that area and there is no spare skin... so he wants me to lose as much as I can as fast as i can.. I will start this Liver Shrinking Diet on tuesday and in the meantime, i am on almost all protein. I was having some problems in the past because I was getting to thin and I had to find a way to gain... boy that sound weird.. anyway in the last two days I have lost over 3 pounds already! and he said the liver shrinking diet makes the weight melt off. he has his pre gbs patients do this to help shrink the liver so its not in the way. I can eat a lot of regular foods but in the last month i was doing some emotional eating too. so i had gained about 4 pounds since i last saw the surgeon. but i told him I was kind of a mess for a while. son almost got sent to Faluja.. not sure of the spelling but its the worst place to go in Iraq... he is NOT going there now. so that stress is now gone. so I am once again writing down all my foods and making sure I dont eat just because it sounds good. on the diet the doc wants me on, people lose over 20 pounds in just two weeks!!! but i will only be on the diet a week since my surgery is less then 2 weeks away. wish me luck.. can you tell me he has you doing for this diet. i'm really looking to lose a few extra pounds and i have no patience. i'd like to try it for a week or so and see how it goes. if you don't mind sharing that is!! thanks!! Steph

Please write down your details of your liver shirnking diet, I am struggling to lose the last 20lbs and I am stumped, this would definitely help me!!!! I think half this board is anxiously watching for your reply!!!!!

I will let you all know tuesday night, i guess its a pretty strick type of diet, i think its like all protein and maybe liquids.. I have to take a class with the dietition before they will tell me anything so I guess its pretty intense. bye the way, just after 3 days of only protein, i have already lost 4 pounds and i am in ketosis... so i am hoping this diet next week helps me even more Donna
