my gallbladder is normal. so much for that theory of it being the gallbladder that's making my liver enzyme levels higher. hopefully they'll continue to go down now though.

thanks for thinking of me tracy! you're such a great friend! well i'm a little more optomistic now that my enzyme levels are getting better. hopefully my liver is just slow at getting back to normal since i had so much weight to lose. maybe it was just working OT for me! sounds good right?? Steph

Geez Stephanie, that is good news, right?. Did you ever have mononucleous? I was getting repeated high readings for years after having it. I have had it 3 times, when I was told you can only get it once, not true. My dr believes this is what lead me to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, I was feeling awful for so long and my liver numbers were also off. As I told you before going into surgery my surgeon doing my gastric bypass told me they were high but he would take care of it and with my gallbladder out and my stomach rearranged I am not sure which cured my problem. I just had my labs done Oct 16 and again this past Thurs and all is well except my platelets which is normal for me...my iron is up due to the IV infusions and when that is good my platelets go way up but they die off in a few days so I rather have my ferritin up. I hope the numbers do start coming down...maybe it's a genetic thing but when you do find out keep us posted. Hugs, ~Ginny

yes it is good news BUT i was hoping for a maybe a clue as to what the deal is with the enzyme levels. at least they are going down so i'll just keep hoping they continue. no i have never had mononucleous. i know that my liver enzyme levels weren't high before my surgery so i'm hoping that it is from the rapid weight loss and since i lost 200 pounds in the first year the poor thing was probably overloaded. thanks for your response!! and i will continue to let you know how things are going. Wow Steph I didn't realize you lost 200 the first year...I only lost 90 total but that is only what I needed to loose and the first year I was at 74 lbs and was so disappointed as I wanted to get back to my regular weight of 118-122. After I had my tummy tuck I dropped 7 lbs from surgery then within a month I dropped 15. It does feel great to be back to myself and actually looking better than ever with plastics. Please do keep us informed, you have intriqued my mind and if I come across something I think might help other than the phosphydital choline I will let you know. I read medical journals on a daily basis just for knowledge and I have learned not to depend on dr's ...well other than my bariatric and plastic surgeon LOL I sure love those guys with all my heart!!
