8 Week Challenge - Mid-Week Check-In
Kathy, thank you for starting this. I'm really struggling right now with every aspect of my eating and exercising. I reached a realistic (for me) goal at about 11 mo. post-op and maintained it for a year. At over 2 yrs. post-op, I have now re-gained 15 lbs. and am really feeling "down" about it, as well as out of control. I know exactly why I've gained--horrendous carbs, grazing, overall calorie count too high, and significant cut-back on both my liquids & my exercise routine. I'm feeling such a sense of panic at the idea of entering the holiday season in this mode.
I feel some hope from this post. Right now, I'm feeling so "fragile" on the whole issue that I'm just going to set a goal for tomorrow: back up to at least 64 oz. water or Crystal Lt., will either go to the gym (which I haven't completely given up--just not nearly as faithful as I used to be) or go outside walking, and will not eat any totally rot-gut carbs.
