Paxil weight gain?
I've read about others who went on paxil and had a weight gain. I started on paxil about a year ago and didn't even think that perhaps the extra pounds were from that!
If this was the case for you, did you change to another med? if so, what works for you?
Thanks! I'm so happy, in love with my wonderful husband of just one year ![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/mbgraphics/emoticons/dance.gif)

Hello girlfriend,
Can't help you - Im not even sure what Paxil is, although I would swear Ive seen (heard of) it in commercials? I'm TERRIBLE with remembering names of med's - can't even tell you the name of the two blood pressure pills I have to take, daily, and Ive been doing it for about six months now - lol, if that tells you anything.
Just wanted to poke my head in and say HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
It's not often I find a new thread started by you, so I have to take advantage of the moment, yes? How was last weekend with the family? I hope you two had a fantastic trip. If you've seen any of the Lexington Pictures, you KNOW my weekend was an absolute blast. Wish you coulda' been there, maybe you can make the JANUARY one here in Richmond, VA? It's not an "OH" event, but it's weight loss related and MOST of the attendees (locally and from out of state) met via these boards.
If you want more info on it, here's the link David posted:

Hi, pal! Yes, I saw all those KY pics and you made me envious! We did have an absolutely wonderful family time last weekend, but I can see you all had a ball together!
I started taking paxil last November...it's a med for depression. Couldn't believe I would ever need that, but you remember the story I've told you about my eldest son. Nothing has changed there and I believe that was what caused me to feel the need to speak to my doctor. I'd like to get weaned off of it now, especially because it may have been the source of at least some of my weight gain!
Thanks for dropping by
Love ya'
Sheryl
