Thyroid issues

Has anyone had blood results showing the thyroid being off? I had my 5 year blood drawn and it showed my thyroid very slightly on the hyper side. The doc ordered another blood test/panel but I just wanted to know if anyone has more information. Christy

Christy, My thyroid levels are perfect at almost 5 years post-op but I am developing a very large goiter. My internist is sending me to an endocrinologist to be evaluated for massive thyroid therapy (it seems that giving large doses of thyroid will stop the production of thyroid in the body and hopefully, stop the goiter from growing). My doctor doesn't think the goiter is associated with the weight loss surgery or the weight loss. Patty

Patty , My blood workis perfect but I developed a very big goiter also.I had 6 biapsy's donelast week and my Dr.told me that my goiter has to be removed.So i will have to remove my thyroid complitly. All the best Emily
