1. some one posted a recipe for a pumpkin mousse...oh my go**** is sinful!! 2. FINALLY...they are going to do a CCK hida scan on my gallbladder. after all this time of complaining about pain and the high liver enzymes...i finally called my wls and he ordered the testing for me right away. he couldn't believe that these other doctors didn't think to do this asap. i've had an ultrasound and it showed sludge in my gallbladder but i guess the hida scan is better? not sure...anyway i go in next thursday for that test and if it's a bad gallbladder my wls said he prefers to remove them from wls patients. i'm so glad i called them about this! this could very well be the problem with my liver enzyme levels! woo hoo!! i don't wanna get overly excited but hey it's a start. at least someone is listening to me. 3. i'm also going to be working again! yeah it's going to be from home but hey it's money and we really need it right now. i can work minimal hours without losing my disability benefits also. if things go well i'll drop my disability and work full time. i'm hoping i like it. it's for a company called west and i'll be doing inbound customer service calls from the comfort of my home office...in my pj's. i'm going to probably be working really early hours like 4-8am for now and see how that works out. that way hubby is home asleep with the dog and i don't have to worry about keeping the dog quiet or locking him up to keep him from barking at everyone that walks by the window. yeah he's a major barker. then i'll still have all day to run errands, clean, workout, etc. i'm really excited about it. ok that's all....i hope you all are having a good night!! 1. I want the moose (LOL) recipe. 2. The HIDA scan shows how your gallbladder reacts. They scan it. Then give you an IV protein of some sort called CCK if I remember correctly. That stimulates the gallbladder. Then they scan it and measure the contractions. Hospitals differ in values but if the gallbladder is operating at less than 30-35% then it is considered faulty and needs to come out. 3. Congrats on the job! Hope it goes well for you! Kathy

here's how i made it. the person had just posted the ingredients but i just made it the way i thought it should be. 1 15oz can pure pumpkin 1 box sf vanilla pudding 2 cups of milk 1 tub sf cool whip i used a little vanilla and about 5 packets of splenda anyway i whipped it all together then folded in the cool whip....tastes like pumpkin pie with cool whip on top...go figure. The lady that scheduled me said they'd inject me with something and make me drink half&half also to get the gallbladder stimulated. do you know if the scanner thing is like doing an mri or more like ultrasound type thing. she said it would take 2 hours...yuck!!

Mmmm sounds good but I cannot do SF pudding because it has aspartame in it (I get headaches) and I dump on light cool whip. Do not think I've seen the SF cool whip. I'll have to check that out. Drink half and half? Yummy? LOL. The scanner is like a box that sits over you. It is more like a bone density scanner than an MRI or ultrasound. So, it will be closer to your body then an MRI like a box that sits over you. No wand rolling over your body like an ultrasound. Good luck with the test, Kathy

that doesn't sound too bad! i just hope i don't have to lay completely flat the whole time. i battle vertigo and still have to sleep in a recliner. when i lay flat i spin out! i hate that....

Steph, if they you your test like mine you do have to lay still for the whole 2 hours....you might want to prepare for that, sorry . Hugs, Dana

Kudos to you for taking control of your own healthy and well being and not just letting things go. You're in my prayers! 3. That's cool about the job! I worked for West several years ago, not from home but at their offices. Hope you enjoy it! Hugs, Tracy

Thanks Tracy! i'm a little nervous about the job thing. i still feel like i'm going into the actual call taking a little blind. they give you training online but nothing is ever the same as taking actual calls.

Steph, I know what you mean about taking live calls, but you're going to do great! Most people are really nice so its easy to work with them~you will get the occasional "jerk" but I always figured I'll never see them in person so *****ally cares! Good Luck! Tracy
