Okay JANE, I'm going to GLUE you to your seat till I'm sure you read this reply and actually got it. I have replied to about 3 or 4 of your posts over the last few weeks, referencing comments prompted by you on LEXINGTON, but I never hear back from you - I have NO clue if you're even getting them, since OH is a hit and miss on email delivery, but I sure don't want you to think I'm ignoring you. Although I can't track ALL of them down, several were on the Main board and at least one was on the Plastic Surgery board..... here is the link: http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/plasticsurgery/postdetail/34768.html?vc=0 Anyway - I just want to make sure you know Im NOT ignoring you, Ive honestly tried to reply to you - both on posts and on direct emails. ...heck, for all I know, you're mad at ME and that's why you havent responded back? [gasp] .... nah, that can't be it, Im too adork'able, right? I'm SO GLAD YOU'RE JOINING US FOR DINNER, er, I mean drinks? Never fear, ALL Chinese restaurants have "non-chinese foods" too - like grilled shrimp? Beef or Chicken teriyaki and or just grilled with herbs, etc. Im sure you'll find many things to choose from - oh, and several of the write-ups on this place said they had an AWESOME Vegeterian chicken, so if meat doesnt work for you, that might? Also, I read on another review/site that they have an extended array of beverages! Yah, beverages, that's what they called it (not) ...more like alky'hawl, but from what Im gathering, Lexington is proud of their gazillion Martini Flavors. I think you'll have fun on Thursday, not only cause you're with great people, but also the food and drink menu should work. HEY? Im bringing my car - was originally going to ride up with Patty and NAT, now Im just going to convoy/follow them. Im taking a slight detour on my return trip to hook up with other friends. Im boring you with all these details to let you know you are more then welcomed to ride with me, we can get lost together - its always more fun if you have a wingman with you. You can be my wingman. NOW - that being said, and since you don't have a car that you're bringing and won't need to park at the hotel, can I USE YOUR NAME FOR MY PARKING SPACE???? Im assuming the hotel will only assign ONE free parking space per room. It should RIGHTFULLY go to Patty, since we were originally only taking her car. Now that Im taking MINE too, Id like to avoid the costs of parking, if I can. Soooooooooooooooo - can I, huh huh? Can I? Oh, and if you say YES, I need the complete name your hotel room is reserved under! Okay - TAG YOU ARE IT!! Hugs - Lei

Your message finally got to me. I don't know what's up with Stinking OH getting meesgaes to me, but I just haven't been getting them. No, I wasn't mad at you, I suspected somethin glike this because It's seems as if I very rarely get posts from the Virginia Board and I subscribe to it. Technology sometimes is just a pain in ass. Don't worry about me, food wise, I can almost always fine something. Lately anything other than seafood and beef, just makes me ill. It's my ulcers. Once they heal, hopefully this girl will be eating ribs and chicken again. As for the Parking Thing. I'm using the Hotel Shuttle to get from the airport, so I'm not sure they will assign me a parking space, but I'll do what I can. If I can get a parking Pass, It's yours!! hugs, Jane

Trust me, I know all about screwed up emails - and it's not just OH stuff, it's my Internet servers, in general. I have AOL and COX, they're a hit and miss, most days, so I normally have friends/family send mail to BOTH accounts, just in case. I'm the same way (food wise) ...never been ANYWHERE where I couldnt find something on the menu that would do in a pinch, which is why I wonder why some people become damn near hysterical when they walk into an unfamiliar restaurant. Not to mention any "out of town trips" ....not only is protein bars/suppls' available EVERYWHERE (even gas stations) but they still feel the need to pack a weeks worth of protein bars, protein drinks, protein snacks, and ...well, more protein, in preperation of a THREE hour tour! (theme of Gilligan playing in the background). With the parking thingie - most likely, it's just going to take the "name you're room is reserved under" to get me in the garage. I THINK part of the problem with YOU rec'ving email from the OH boards is that there is NO email address plugged in for you. I rec'd your reply to my post and normally you can either choose to email that person direct, with the attached email address provided, or you can reply back to the post. Well, when I initially hit "reply to email" so I could send this PRIVATELY (with my cell phone number) ...it showed the RETURN address as Obesityhelp's ....NOT YOURS! You might have to go back into your account information (where you make changes to your profile) and manually PLUG IN an email address. Can you send me an email (direct, not via the site) at [email protected] ....I'll send back my cell number in that. I'm running out the door, errands are calling my name, I'll look for your email on the return. Hugs - Lei

Just a note to say that a small contingent ( probably 4) of the men's group will be there at 6:30 arriving after a winning afternoon at Keeneland. The Asian Wind is among my favorite Lexington restaurants. If you can eat fried (taboo!!!), split a coconut shrimp entre two or three ways. By the way, I went back to heaven in your neck of the woods last week splitting a seafood dinner at the Yorktown pub. See you at the Wind. Dave

G'morning Dave ~ Are ya'll having dinner there the SAME night? (Thursday) ...if so, and you'd like to combine groups, you're MORE then welcomed... IF you want to play it safe, and keep the smaller and quieter setting, I completely understand - 4 men and 12 women, kinda stacks the odds a bit. Speaking of odds? We're not getting to Lexie till late afternoon, so there's no time to do the tracks - ENJOY KEENELAND, and if any of 'em have even the slightest bit of Polynesian in the name? BET ON IT! Assuming your group stays with your existing reservations -- at least toss a dinner napkin or something at us (I draw the line at dinner knives) to get our attention. It'll probably be easier to see (hear?) our group, so if ya'll have time, stop by and say hello. Ive never eaten at the Yorktown Pub, although my hubby and I have been out to Williamsburg and Yorktown a LOT over the last three years (we live in VaBeach, 40 minutes out) ...sounds like we need to make it a point to eat there in the very near future. See ya'll in 'Tucky! Lei Psssst.... since youve eaten at ASIAN WIND before what's your thoughts on their "dress code"? If a bunch of us show up in jeans and a dressier kinda top, will they let us in the door?

Hey Lei I know this is off topic, wish I was going to Ky , but was wondering how your doing with the maintenance ... I had read where you were breaking your meals down into many small ones and am about to try it too. I have this stinking 10 lbs I cant get rid of and am trying different things. It is my bounce back 10 they say we get , but I want it bounced back to whence it came......sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh .. so depressing . I was a DUMB patient and wasnt well imformed when I had the surgery. I thought ( HOW STUPID) that once we had the surgery we wouldnt gain back ..My surgeons office left me with that impression as well.. NOW , they say , oh no you have to work at it forever ... Anyway , I hope your doing well as you certainly have come so far and your an inspiration to us all.. Hugs Shirl

Hello Shirl ~ .... as you'll find with all my posts (and replies) I NEVER stay on topic, so NON-Kentucky chat is more then welcomed!! I so understand wanting to bounce it right back off, as in any of my past diets, I can gain 10 pounds in a month and it takes SIX months to get the bloody thing back off. It's a shame dieting isn't as enjoyable as gaining... spoken like a real Foodie-holic? I am happy to say that the 22 pounds (total) that I bounced right back on to my midsection has LEFT THE BUILDING!!!! I posted to the grads board a couple of months ago and had EVERY intention of adding that post to my profile. Then I made the mistake of "thinking about it too much" and I put myself on hold and decided to WAIT and make sure it stuck. Originally, I was going to see if I could keep it off for 30 days, then it would surely be a "real" weight loss, right? Well, 30 days came and went and I got paranoid and decided to wait SIXTY days before plugging it permanently in my profile. TODAY actually makes exactly 60 days since I posted about the "skinny jeans" and the weight is still OFF. [whew]..... Im finally ready to record it on my profile. Ohhhhh the head games we play with ourselves, huh? Anyway - rather then bore you (and have to retype it all) I'm going to attach the link to my original post below. I won't have time to update my profile till after I get back from 'Tucky, but this is pretty much what I'll be cutting and pasting to it. Icluding my results and a couple of websites that I used in the process. http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/wls_grads/postdetail/22936.html?vc=0 CONGRATULATIONS on your weight loss and very successful journey - don't sweat those 10 pounds too much (although I understand, my newest challenge is try and lose ten more before Spring) ...but don't be too hard on yourself. EVEN normal peeps (minus any gastric intervention) have difficulty with those last 10 poundss. My sister has NEVER been overweight a day in her life, ever, and for as long as I can remember, she's ALWAYS been trying to lose that "last ten". So you see? We got what WE WANTED, we're NORMAL!!!!!! Continued success to you - Lei
