Dinner plans in LEXINGTON!

lol - well you sure know how to get my heart to skip a few beats!!!!!! That's all I'd need is to call and find out they are now out of business, when I have it posted all over da' internet. I called ASIAN WIND (thank ya' Jesus, someone answered) and made reservations for 15 people! Told them that I might be tweeking that number, over the next day or two, but for now we have a solid 15 people. Reservations are for 7:00 pm and you ARE in da' count!

Are e going to meet just inside the door before they seat us or do we just ask for the lei party?

Heck, Im an OUT OF TOWNER, I'll be doing good to find the restaurant, much less the front door? I made the reservations for 15 people under MY NAME ....yes, my real name is "Leilani" ...pronounced "Lay-la-knee" ...NOT "Leeeeeee" ...so many people call me LEE and I don't answer to that. What can I say, pride in heritage, or something like that. Hey? I looked up more info on ASIAN WIND and several of the write ups said it was "Dressy Casual" attire - so Ive decide to NIX the jeans and go with my black dress slacks and my green turquoise SPARKLY top. lol, uh, actually it's blinding its got so much sparkle. Thought Id toss that out there so you don't think I misled you on the jeans. Gonna save my jeans and another pretty top for De Sha's. Anyway - if you get there at 7:00, or shortly before that, we should ALL be walking in about the same time. If you're later then that, then just ask for the "Leilani" party - lol, or cup your ear and just follow the noise?

Dana, I am coming Thursday night also. I have a question for you. I know exactly where Man O war is. My question is do you know the name of the shopping center. is it the one right before you get to Man o war coming from Town or the new one right after. I know there is a McDonalds and a shopping center behind it right before the light at Harrodsaburg and Man O War. is that it. Also are you "dressing' for dinner? I think it is a pretty nice place. I was going to wear dress slacks and a nice sweater. Would that work for Thursday night?

Hi Delores, Ummm.. its one of those things I know how to get to but hard to explain. It is definitely at the light. There is a McDonalds. I think there is a Kroger there too (?). Its one of those things where you have to turn in and go down a little bit and it is on the right. Hard to see until you are on that other side of Kroger. The front of the restaurant faces Man o' War. Technically you can turn right onto Man o' War then turn into the parking lot (there is another entrance). At least I hope! I don't want you to pass it. I will be coming from work so I will be dressed up a little. You can definitely wear slacks and a nice shirt or you can even wear nice jeans and a nice shirt. I have taken my stepkids there before and they weren't dressed up. It can be casual or elegant. They love everyone. Can't wait to see you again!!! Dana

nope.. just me thursday night! I will be coming straight from work. BF gets in late Friday night like at 1 am. (10 hour drive). We will sleep in Saturday morning and come for the afternoon. I can't wait to meet you either finally!!!!!! BTW I know very well how to pronounce your name. With my father worked for the airlines while I was growing up and I first heard that name in Hawaii. In fact I found a brunette barbie-like doll and I named her Leilani. I think it is a beatiful name!!!!! Hugs, Dana

Hijack!!!!!!!!! I just wanted to let you guys know that I will be showing up Thuursday night looking like I have been beat up. I had oral surgery yesterday. My whole chine is deep purple and the right side of my face is extremely swollen so don't you'll laugh. it is taking a lot of nerve for me to showw up looking like this but can't miss finally getting to meet some of my MB friends.

I'm going wherever your going! But someone's gonna have to help tote my saggy butt around since I'm flying and will have no car. I'm going to have to say Yes, to Cafe on the Park and De Sha's. Iffy on the chinese food. So far since surgery, the only times I've is on chinese food. I can eat the eggrolls, soup and veggies. Just not the meat. Like Nat, meat and me are not getting along unless it's name is Mr. Filet Mignon or Mrs. Rib Eye. I don't really care where we are eating, as long as we are having drinks and laughing. Hugs, Jane
