Calcium Citrate Recommendations

I buy Vitalady's calcium citrate because I find it to be the most cost effective for me. The best form is the form you can get down. The worst form is any hard pill - they generally do not dissolve within 20 to 30 minutes, thereby sending them out the other end. If you have bought hard pills, drop one in a glass of water. If it isn't dissolved in that time period, you are not getting the benefit of the pill. take them back to the store and exchange them for soft capsules or chews. Goodluck and God bless.

I use the Calcium Citrate liquid version - it is more expensive than the pill version, but I don't mind since I feel more assured that I'm getting the full benefit of my calcium. The two flavors I like are: Tropical Oasis Orange flavor and Bluebonnet Blueberry. They are about the same price ($20 for 32 oz vs $9 for 16 oz), which comes out to be $20 a month for me. (It's 1000 mg per oz, and my surgeon says there's no limit on how much calcium we can absorb in one dose....I know other surgeons differ on that one)

I couldn't handle the pills and switched to the chocolate citrical chews and they are awesome!! I can actually deal with them. I get a big box at Sams and it cuts down on the cost. I tried the lemon and couldn't stomach them. Brigitte
