Calcium Citrate Recommendations
hi Laura ... I've picked up the Citracal Chews (Lemon and Chocolate) ... they are like the Viactiv chews, but with Calcium citrate instead of carbonate.
I've picked up some liquid calcium citrates here and there, haven't been able to get used to the taste, and sometimes the calcium pills are just too big to swallow ... so, until I get tired of the chews, I guess that's what I'm going with for now.

I think the BEST calcium citrate is the one that you'll take every day. Hope that makes sense.
The one that says it is liquid Calcium Citrate at Costco. Doesn't that list another calcium in there too? I often wonder when they list a few. How much of each are you getting.
Some ideas for calcium:
Citracal Calcium Citrate Petites (2 pills are 400 mg so you have to take more of 'em)
Twin Labs Calcium Citrate Chews (2 big chewables are 500 mg)
Citracal Creamy Bites (1 is 500 mg - too many cals and too much sugar for me personally but they work great for others)
UpCal D powder (I use this. Get it from vitalady.com - one small scoop is 500 mg. I put it in protein shakes or a bottle of Propel. It doesn't dissolve so you have to swirl it around as you drink but it is pretty much tasteless and no bother at all.)
Bariatric Advantage Tablets (There are chewable and come in chocolate, mint and cinnamon. A *****alky for my taste but many like them).

I have been taking Nature's Best calcium citrate with magnesium and Vit D, available from vitalady.com, since very early on. They are in capsule form, and although a large pill, they are very easy to swallow, and dissolve very quickly. I don't really even know I'm taking them, and it's been that way since I started using them. I would not use anything else at this point.
Each capsule contains 500 mg calcium, 250 mg magnesium, and 200 IU D3. They come 240 in a bottle, for $14.99, plus shipping. Occasionally, Vitalady runs sales on their products, and then I usually stock up to help reduce the shipping costs. It's a great product though, and well worth the money spent.

Don't know which is "best" ... I think that's just an individual preference thing ...
With that said ... I take Costco's Kirkland Calcium Citrate for months now and everything's fine for me with my lab numbers.
I also use some other of Costco's Kirkland name brand items, too (eg. daily multivitamin) ... The amounts and strength of the ingredients in their products are no different than that which is found in many of the other namebrands out there on the market .. so why pay more for what is essentially the exact SAME thing?
Good luck!

I have tried the Calcium Citrate Chews .. they got to be too chewy .. I dunno . but is neat you posted this today . I just got back from Sams and bought the liquid calcium , It is called Liquid Calcium Care . 2 servings equal 120 % RDI of Calcium . Once serving is equal to Vitamin D iu or 50 % , Flolate 200 mcg or 50 % and Calcium Citrate 600 mcg or 60 % .
You are to take this 2 times a day to equal 1200 grams . And I just tasted it and it is very good .. sorta a vanila flavor . And best of all for me - No sugar !! I have the worse time taking the pills and so glad I found this .
The label states : Drinkables Liquid Suppliments are rapidly absorbed and gentle on the stomach .
Hope this helps you .
