I'm no beautician, but I know that repeated washings will help, regardless of the product. If I were you, I'd get a gentle shampoo and just keep washing it a bunch of times - that should help you out. Good luck! Carlita

No, but I know a bad shampoo that will do it - Prell. It has enough hydrogen peroxide in it that you can perm hair with it. Keep in mind that part of what you're seeing is the coating on the outside of the hair, which will eventually wash away. If you have truly colored it too dark, you don't WANT to strip it, because your hair will end up either broken or clear. It's better to Try a 2nd level semi-permanent in a lighter color to see if that will help. --BT

If you will wet your hands, then rub baking soda on them and put it on your hair it will remove hair spray build up on the hair and also lighten colored hair a shade. As someone else said repeated washing will also lighten it.

wash wash wash wash until you're out of ho****er.... the directions on hair colors tell you never to wash your after coloring because it needs a few days to "set" in. washing it will fade it out ... PROMISE!! Been there done that
