Just saying Hi

Don't think I've posted here before.....I'm not quite 13 months out now, and doing very well. Lost 101lbs in the first year, and continuing to lose. I normally post only on the DS board, but thought I'd come over here and see what's up for life farther out post-op. --BT

Hi BT, welcome to the Grad board. I use to see you allot on the Main Board, which I think lots of us grads visit but don't post as often as we use to. I did go to the DS board a week or so ago and saw that's where you're residing now. Congrats on your 1 year and the 101 lb loss. Dana

Yeah - I don't have as much to say anymore over there. When you're going through it, you get all caught up in the process, but further out, it's like "no new excitement - just the same old good life I've had for 6 months or so" --BT

Not yet anyways. My original position with the company I'm with now didn't allow for much time to check in on the boards. I've had a bit more over the last few weeks, but my responsibilities are changing again so we'll see. Trying not to bite off more than I can chew, if ya know what I mean. So how've you been? I've seen you some on the Sept 2005 board, but I haven't checked in there either much. --BT

Doin pretty good , Saw 249 for a couple hours one day but it's gone for a week or so before it drops that low again, also got a new top in and x-large. Getting ready for halloween and the holidays then I'll be into tax season and then it will be my turn to not be on much...lol Drop over some time and post a quick note i bet everyone would love to catch up with ya Shel

Black Thorne, Did you used to be on Chrysalis? If so, wasn't CAT going to have surgery also? Janet

Janet!!!! LTNT Yes, indeed, I was a Chrysalite Cat had the Duodenal Switch done on Dec 1st of last year, and she's doing fabulously! I just talked to her today, and she's lost 117lbs since surgery, and is within 25 lbs of what her PCP wants her to be at. (She wants to lose another 40-45lbs, but he says 'No way!') Her mobility has greatly increased - she'll always have osteo issues, but she was walking so much better when I was there beginning of September. Do you remember Kristen S? Back then, she was in college studying Mechanical Engineering. She got married over in Benbrook, and I flew down for the wedding. While I was there, I met up with Lendi, Fuzzy and Cat for dinner. So how've you been? --BT
