Hi Amanda. I went to your profile to look for more info on you, but no luck. How tall are you? what's your bmi at 140lbs? Without the extra skin, what do you think you would weigh? These are all factors that would be helpful in figuring things out. Sounds like you've done a great job! I know what you mean when you say that you still have "a weight issue"~I think I always will too even though I've been at goal for awhile now. Tracy B 328/150 5'9"

At the risk of disagreeing with your surgeon I am going to say it doesn't sound like you are getting enough protein in your diet. I've read many times if we don't eat enough calories that the weight will slow or stop. Your having a thyroid problem may make your situation different. Most surgeons recommend at least 60 grams of protein a day, which is approximately 10 oz of dense protein. The protein fills the pouch and keeps you from getting hungry before the next meal. Of course we can ingest protein from things like eggs, beans, etc. Unless you are really short it's possible your body sees you at goal and won't release any more weight. Best of luck!

OOPS! Please ignore my prior post. I had read your post and the one below it. I intended to reply to hers but hit reply to your message instead.

Hi Amanda, your profile says you're 5-3. I'm 5-2 and my goal is 135, but I don't think I'll get there before plastics. I'm around 162 now and want to get into the 140's before plastics. After you have the skin removed, you may be a lil closer to your goal.. what is your goal, exactly? Anyway, you've done an amazing job! Hugs, Tracy

Hi Amanda, I just got off an eight-month plateau (I am almost two years PO). while the scale didn't budge, I went from a size 18W to a 12P. Do evaluate where you are as far as protein, calories, water and exercise. But also consider putting the scale away and measure yourself for a while. Kristen
