With our weight loss surgery we can NOT eat any yogurt. We must look at the sugar gram contant. Each doctor has a number we MUST stay below. My doctor said we can have NOTHING with a sugar gram contant of 12 or more. And if you check out yogurts some have 20 plus grams of sugar. I was very surprised at how much sugar yogurt has. Dannon Lite and Fit is a good yogurt to have. I have not read the label for Activia yogurt. But just check it out before you eat it. You don't want to dump. Good luck. Koukla 338/ 193/ ?

It has a little more sugar than some yogurts ~17g of sugar, 5g protein. I like the new Dannon Light & Fit Crave Control~that has 7g of sugar, 7g protein and added fiber. (Looked up info at www.Dannon.com) Tracy B 328/150 5'9"

We can eat yogurt, but if you dump on sugar you will more than likely dump on the activia as it has a good bit of sugar in it. You would do better with the yogurts that are done with splenda. I wish they would do an activia with splenda because I would love to be able to eat it for the benefits it is supposed to give. Melissa

I agree with the other posters that Activa has more sugars per ounces than others. However, Activa contains an additional bacteria that is beneficial to the large intestines or colon which other yogurts do not. I ate it for two weeks and it did make a difference. What I did was eat it in two servings or space out the consumption of it to 30 minutes rather than the 2 minutes it would take to eat it normally. That said, you can find active bacteria for the small and large intestines in capsle form at your local grocers or health food store. Sometimes we need additional bacteria cultures other than what is supplied naturally in regular yogurts. I hope this helps. Vanessa

Hi Vanessa, What kind of difference did you notice eating that yogurt? I think you can take acidopholous tablets for intestine health, but I was just curious what you noticed? Thanks!

Activit yogurt has quite a bit of sugar in it, if I recall correctly from reading the label. If you can tolerate that amount of sugar in your diet, don't dump from it, then I guess you could eat it. There are low carb yogurts on the market sue O.
