TT and Gallbladder Removal

Well, I knew the gallbladder would have to go at some time and I guess now is as good as any. My question... Did anyone have a TT with gallbladder surgery???? I figure since they have to knock me out that I might get a two-4-one while I am at it. I am about 15 months out and reached goal in late July. I also need a breast lift/augumentation as well as having these darn batwings removed. Anyone have any of this done all at the same time???? Thanks for the support Sharon 235/135

From what I understand a gallbladder removal is considered a "dirty case" as it is usually done to remove a diseased organ. An abdominoplasy, or any type of reconstructive surgery is generally a "clean case" and most plastic surgeons don't want to combine a dirty and clean cases. You could always ask and see. Dawna

Hi Sharon. I need to have my gallbladder removed but my surgeon won't do it with the tummy tuck. I will have it next year when I have my arms and breasts done. Maybe the above poster is right. My surgeon didn't say that to me, but maybe that is the reason. Lucy

I don't know about having a GB removed at the same time, but I had a hysterectomy at the same time as my lower body lift... Cindy 234/132

If you know the gallbladder has to go & he won't do the two together, I would get the GB first. They can do it lap but that way you may even get rid of some of the scars when they do the TT. Good luck to you.
