What's in Your Closet now that never was before?

Mine now houses a LITTLE BLACK DRESS!!! First off, there has never been ANYTHING little in my closet. Well, maybe my shoes but they were always extra-wide, so that can't count. I went shopping a couple of days ago for an outfit for my DH's holiday banquet. Yes, I know it's early, but the event is in about a month-and-a-half and not too many places around our new home to shop. So, when I'm near a larger community with a wider variety of stores, I'm flashing the plastic and smiling when I do it!!! I found this dress that I never dreamed would live in my closet. Mostly, my size has deterred it from happening, but I also thought black wasn't my color. Hello...I can make it my color! Now, I'm out searching for some red pumps(a nod to the color of the season) and some jewelry. I'm thinking a red and black chunky necklace,with matching earrings. Wrap it all up in a nice shawl...maybe. I don't have to worry about a heavier coat, as we'll have a room at the resort where the function is being held. Oh, I just "hate" having to shop for new clothes....YEA, RIGHT!!! Julie

That's cool Julie!!!!!!!!!! I have lots of things~never had size 6 and 8 jeans before~I think even as a teenager I was a size 12, so that's new to me. Lots of little tank tops and even a jean mini skirt~took me awhile to get up the nerve to wear it, but eventually I did! Getting dressed it so much more fun now!!!!!!!!! Hi Julie! I'm right with you on the little black dress. Mine is a size 4/6 black velvet with a scoop neck and long sleeves. It's almost a floor length dress, about 3/4's. I have a lovely large red bow pin with rhinestones or crystals that would fit perfectly. I can't wait to wear it. When I tried it on in the dressing room I started to cry because it fit and looked so good. So I hear you and know how you feel! high heels and fancy thong under wear. before I was too heavy to wear heels with out serious achilles pain., now I wear them a lot, just because I can. the underwearis self explanatory.

Victoria's Secret underwear! A bra in every color! One can never have too many different colors, right? And of course, panties to match. Don't like thongs but bikinis are pretty cool! Size 8 jeans! Still can't do high heels due to foot problems. Dang.

Lace and Bell sleeves..mostly in black and white..lots of pretty shoes with heels.. cool hip hugger jeans!! Renee

Jeans Dress slacks BELTS!!!! a leather jacket bright colors nice, stylish stuff purchased at Goodwill - finding size 28-30's at goodwill was impossible! stuff from old Navy, Gap, etc a Ralph Lauren silk blouse clothes shopping nowadays is wonderful compared to buying mu-mus out of a catalog.
