OMG, ONE POUND TO GOAL!!!
WOW, I can't believe it. I'm exactly one pound from my surgeon's and my goal. I'm so close and never been there.
I've been SMO almost all of my life; probably since the age of 8. Thinking back to when I was this weight, it hasn't been since 6th grade. No wonder people have been telling me that I look thin.
I am so thankful that I decided to have the surgery. I have my life back and am enjoying every minute of it.
Maintenance will be a brand new journey for me for the rest of my life. That is a scary concept. I've never been there. I'm so used to the lose weight mode. I know that I'm going to have to be diligent so that the pounds don't start to creep up again.
I've had my ups and downs since June 8, 2005. I haven't been 100% perfect but I did the best I could. I was used to being the perfectionist; it was either 100% or nothing. I'm beginning to realize that any strides in controlling my SMO is better than nothing.
I am filled with joy and happiness today with tears of joy and relief. This is me flying high!
Shopping is so much fun. Now I have the problem of finding the small sizes in clothes! Go figure.
Before the plus sizes were far and few between. Now they have a lot more color and variety.
Ah, Life is grand!
Was I scared about having the RNY? You bet! It was either have the surgery or die a slow death.
On that note, I close by saying that I am thankful for this website and all of you with your inspirational messages, questions, concerns, and support.
Have a wonderful, fantastic day and weekend!
Hugs,
Lucy

Hi Dana! I am still in shock since I am just about there. I never thought the day would come. Me at 161 pounds, oh no! But here I am with one pound to go. That is nothing in comparison to having to lose almost 324 pounds.
I wonder how I was able to walk and live. Well, not that good at all. My poor feet!
Now, it's almost time for maintenance... That will be a trip in itself for lifetime.
YAY!!
Thanks for your response.
Hugs,
Lucy

Hi Tracy! I agree, I have to take it one day at a time. Sometimes, I had to take it one meal at a time. Eventually that got me through the tough days.
It's so amazing that our tool can help us so much. That is what I needed to get me under the 200 mark all my life. I love my little pouch
Thanks for the kudos!
Lucy
