Does anyone know a surgeon in South Georgia who does revision surgery, specifically a surgeon who will add a Lap Band to a failed RNY? I had RNY in 2001 and lost 165 pounds at my peak, but now I have gained back nearly 60 pounds. I've been having schlerotherapy treatments with Dr. Peter Henderson for an enlarged stoma. I notice some improvement in restriction and early satiety, but it only lasts about a week after each treatment. Dr. Henderson has discussed a lap band addition as a revision to my RNY, but I think he's somewhat hesitant (and I am too) because he's never done this type of revision. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Steven

Hi Steven, I don't know of any in South Georgia, but if you are unable to find a surgeon there, and you are willing to travel to a different state. There is a Doctor in Arizona, by the the name of Alexander Villares. He is well know for his revisions. I am scheduled with him on October 9th to have a lap band added to my RNY as my stoma has streatched or come undone. You can look him up on this site. Good luck. Diana
