HELP
I am almost 15 months out. I still have dumping real bad. I can have dumping and not even eat anything. I can be working and all of a sudden just feel so sick like I am going to throw up. I get hot!!!!!!!!!!! I dump eating or not..... It goes away for a few weeks then comes back. The doctor just told me to try to eat 6 small meals a day. Well it makes me sick no matter how many meals.......... Does this ever happen to you?? I only weigh 94 lbs. As of today. I can't afford to loose anymore weight. I can eat some thing one day and do fine then eat it some other day and get sick as a dog..... I just wanted to know if anyone else is still like this. God bless all.

Amy, could it possibly be your sugar levels dropping causing you episodes of hypoglycemia? The symptoms for me have been similar. Do you have access to a blood glucose meter, if so why not test yourself next time you get that feeling.
Have you been scoped, I recommend you get back with your surgeon to be checked out to determine if something internally is not working properly. Wow, 94 lbs is way low, I hope your medical team helps clear this up for you soon.
How about protein shakes? If you aren't drinking them maybe adding a couple of day will help you feel better physically and add some extra calories to help you maintain or gain a few lbs.
Best wishes,
Dana
yes they said my sugar was dropping. That is why I pass out when I stand up. But I just can't do sugar at all. It makes me pray that god will take me on. When I get like that I just don't feel like I can live. I don't know what to do. The doctor said add sugar so I try to eas natural sugars. But it is not working. I can't drink juices. I can't do anything at all that is milk or milk like. I eat the protein bars. But it is only a few bites. I work at the health department so I can get it checked. When I wrecked my car last month the lady on the ambulance took it and it was like in the 60's. she said that was low. I blacked out and had a nasty wreck. Thank you so much for the help. God bless.

Hi Amy ... we've been talking about this on another recent post ... I tend to do a mini-dump after eating anything myself as well. My doc is suggesting I see an endocrinologist, as my blood sugars dip REAL low.
Sounds like you need to either push your doc or see another one. As Dana says, 94 pounds is a bit low ... please let us know how things progress, ok?

Yes 94 is way to low. I have to go to the childrens department to get my stuff now. That is not sexy at all. I look like at walking sick stick. I have been to so many doctors to find out what is wrong. And they said just add sugar in my diet. I CAN'T DON'T THEY UNDERSTAND. I get so sick. I am just stuck in a world of crap I guess. Thank you for the reply. God bless.

Hello Amy!
I feel for you. It sounds as if you need to call your surgeon or a nutritionist and get some medical attention real soon. We are all different and what works for me doesn't mean it'll work for you. Being sick isn't fun. You may need blood work to find out what goes on also. Don't mess around with passing out and dumping. Not healthy mentally or physically. Please call your doctor and get help.

Amy, I was so concerned about your weight I went to your profile to see how much you lost all together and how tall you were but I didn't find the answers. You have been sick way too long and I know you have been trying to find out what is wrong.
If you have voiced these concerns with your bariatric surgeon and he can't resolve this then its time to move on to an internist who can determine which specialist you need to see. Don't let your weight get any lower before you do this, my mother always told me to keep 5-10 lbs to play with incase I ever got very ill and when she started kidney failure I understood then what she meant and she was eating every day and I saw her fade in weight real fast. I'm not telling you anything you don't know but 94 is almost 20 lbs less than me and I am very thin and height is 5'3". I have very hard time finding clothes being a 2 or 4 so I know how hard it must be for you to shop for smaller sizes.
Dana mentioned getting a scope, maybe your stoma is too small as mine was and you need it stretched...I vomited from 7 wks to 6 months until I gave in and told the dr I was vomitting everyday, have not vomited since I got my stoma stretched and I am hypoglycemic and do pass out when it goes too low and sometimes it has nothing to do with my food. I take lots of vitamins and force myself to eat some protein every few hours, not much sometimes just two bites and it helps me.
Please keep us posted, sending you some comfort hugs.
