I have been eating out of control for about 3 months now. I have not gained any weight but the eating is out of control and craving carbs big time. I just figured out that was when I started drinking high eneregy drinks such as Red Bull and others. I have not had any for 3 days now and the craving have gone way down. Could there be a coralation here between the two? I would love to hear from anyone who has had this situation and what you think about energy drinks. I have maintained my weight for a year now and at goal(below my doctors goal) Julie

Were you drinking regular or sugar-free Red Bull? If the regular, then it could be that the sugar was stimulating the carb cravings. Remember, the term "high energy" usually means "high calorie." Just my $.02 worth. Connie

It's amazing what "can" stimulate hunger or cravings in one and not another. It's really good that you're in tune and figuring it out. Listen to your bod. I am SO glad to see you! I've thought of you often and hoped you were doing well. (((HUGS)))

Yup, if the Red Bull was with real sugar - that alone could be it. If not, I'd say it is the caffeine. Energy drinks are chock full of that and that can stimulate appetite and such. Congrats on maintaining throughout! Best wishes, Kathy

many artificail sweeteners are appetite stimulants. My general rule is NO liquid calories anyways, except for milk. they dont fill me up, run right thru my pouch and leave me hungry. I would not drink ANY energy drinks with or with out sugar. I get my energy from good healthy whole foods and from exercisng. a good work out boosts my energy to where I would need to be tied up to keep me down. LOVE that feeling!!!
