October 17, 2006 Monthly Support Meeting Queens Metro Surgical Weight Loss Support Group http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Queensmetrowls/ Our next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday October 17, 2006 at 8:00pm and we are going to have Dr. Eileen Rosendahl speak to our group about Staying motivated and Getting Back on Track. About Dr. Rosendahl: Dr. Rosendahl received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern University. She is presently working in private practice in Manhasset. Dr. Rosendahl began her career in weight management at Northwestern Memorial Hospital's People at Risk program. She then worked for 12 years at Long Island Jewish Medical Center where she developed a weight management program and helped to establish a health-system wide program for the treatment of obesity. She worked as clinical supervisor and coordinator of outreach and education for the Center for Weight Management for the North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System. This involved training clinical staff and graduate students in weight management therapy, lecturing to medical staff and community groups about obesity and health psychology, and helping to develop research protocols for the health system for obesity treatment. Hey Lenny, Thanks for the info- Now, I just wanted to drop by an Invitation. It's great to see other men out here. We make up such a small percentage (12%) Of the people having Weight Loss Surgery, But tend to reach our goal weights quicker and with less Or at least Different hassles than the Gals Due to Male physiology. Drop by the Men's Message Board And check out what other men like you are going through. It's a diverse make up of Dads, Singles, Older, younger, etc... Pre-Ops, Post-Ops new and some Old (at Goal) Post-Ops. Lap-Banders, RNY'ers DS, etc... Great bunch of guys with the mutual understanding That WLS for Men can be a totally different Journey.
