Happy Sunday and C'mon Check In!
Evening Grad-u-ates!
Hope you all had a great weekend.
Rich FINALLY had a weekend day off. Been working extra shifts on the weekend since the radio station was short-handed. He's a disc jockey on the weekends on the classic rock station here in DC and a multi-radio-TV station traffic reporter during the week.
We decided to have a "date" for a change. He works 1 to 9 workdays so our schedules don't allow for dinners together or outings during the week.
The weather here was a bit icky this a.m. so we decided on Mexican breakfast and then headed to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum out near Dulles Airport. This opened in 2003 but we had yet to get there. We saw the Imax film Fighter Pilot which was neat. Then headed to food shopping and home to chill. Getting all my stuff ready for tomorrow. I have someone coming from the Breast Cancer Sister Study to draw blood and collect questionnaires and such at 7 a.m. I'm participating in the study - it is for sisters of those with breast cancer and is going to be a 10 year study.
Anyway, my eating day:
Breakfast: Couple of cups of coffee w/ creamer and sweet n' low, Chorizo Con Huevos - scrambled eggs w/ chorio, red sauce and cheese on top) and a few strips of bacon. Note: we both skipped the flour tortillas, hash brown potatoes and the corn tortilla chips and salsa! What great restraint!
Snack 1: 1/2 ounce dry roasted peanuts, 2 Dove sugar free chocolates, protein shake (35 grams)
Snack 2: Blue Bunny sugar free turtle ice cream pop
Dinner: Few bites of browned ground beef (hubby is making taco meat and I picked a bit before the seasoning went on), boneless skinless chicken breast strips coated in butter and parm cheese w/ spices and baked (grease drained off), green beans
Snack: Protein shake
Water: Very low intake today, working to improve that!
Vitamins: All but the late night doses of calcium

Hi Kathy! I just finished reading your profile..>Man what a difference! You look like a totally different person. Isn't that a great feeling? I was at a ballgame this past week with the Hubby and a lady came by to see who my hubby was with...so she could have something to gossip about..>IT was so funny to see the look on her face when she said, "Darlene?" and stood there with her mouth gapping open....IT was a WOW moment for sure.
Today has been a good day.>>>>Did Sunday School and Church then came home and cooked lunch and took a long nap while watching the old western, "Bad Girls"....skipped Church tonight ..now Im just chillin' ....................
Breakfast: Protien Drink
Lunch: Turkey patty with mashed Taters and peas
Snack: Pretzels : CHips w/ salsa
Dinner: Have not decided yet.....
Lots of water/tea/propel....
Howdy! I'm not even gonna discuss my eating habits this weekend. They range from pathetic to down right sacriligious, for the most part. A lot of grazing, no attention to protein, nada. I think I only remembered my vits once this weekend...
But, I had a great time - Aaron and I really enjoyed our time alone together and even got to go to the bookstore - a rare treat, it's impossible to go with Liv...
Anyway, I just wanted to pop in and say Hi!
