Steph....I know. Its really hard for me too. Remember when we were MO we could go on a 'diet' and lose 8 pounds in a week? I sure can't do that now. I dropped another 1/4 pound....so just 1/4 more to make it 5 pounds. I have really tiny goals now. I just can't look at the big picture....its ridiculous...losing 10 pounds seems like a mountain I can't climb. So its just one day at a time... I had oatmeal for breakfast this morning....I make sure I have a carb so I can go swim. So far its worked...I've been able to make it an hour. My goal is to swim steady for 30 minutes....if I make that.....everything else is gravy. Also, I make sure I have protein within one hour of exercising....but thats not a problem...I make myself a frozen treat after and its just great that it has protein... Hang in there....lets just get through today...tomorrow will take care of itself... Hugs Charlie

Whenever I go to my in laws I expect the Jerry Springer crew to jump out at us! They seem happy so live and let live I guess. I had a fair day except had to work late again so no time to walk before going home. B-EAS low carb protein drink S-string cheese L-tuna, cheese, grapes and dry hard slice of Angel Food Cake from the cafeteria ( it tasted good) I had picked up and thrown away PB sandwich cookies someone left out at work and was craving a sweet. S-baked cheetos ( BAD) D- scrambled eggs with cheese S- 3 SF snackwell lemon cookies and 100 cal bag kettle corn

Jerry Springer huh...interesting! we've had those moments in our family too. you did have a good day though. sorry you didn't get your walk in...doesn't it suck when work gets in the way of getting to do your thing! just kidding... lemon cookies sound pretty yummy!! yeah to you on throwing away the PB cookies! angel food cake isn't bad so good choice there. and yeah...cheetos bad but at least they were the baked ones. that's a little better but we all eat something we shouldn't at times

Today was so out of control, I didn't even keep track of what I ate. Perhaps all in all it was'nt to bad, but all I ate was a tiny bit of this annd that. In the haze of it all I do remember a few tastes of great ice-cream, an sooo bad a frozen pizza almost before bed. The frozen pizza was a first for me. I VOW THIS TO NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN. Well tomorrow is a new day, and back to basics for me. For me, to stay on track I just can't have a small taste or deviate from "program", at all. I'm so glad your all here, it's so nice not to feel alone on the rough days. have a great friday everyone.

linda...i'm the same as you...don't even take a taste of something or forget it. i have to totally keep away from the bad stuff. moderation is the key but i have trouble with that concept. you'll do better today!!

B - Scrambled egg, whole wheat mini pita S - 3 Triscuits L - 4 beef ribs, 1/4 c slaw, 1/4 c baked beans S - 3 Triscuits D - Small roasted chicken breast, 1/2 c slaw, 2 glasses of wine 1 hour step class, 30 minute ab class, 10 minutes on the treadmill The scale is moving! My average weight for well over a year has been 151 to 153. Day before yesterday it was 148, yesterday 148, today 146 so I'm claiming myself to be officially in the high 140's! Woo Hoo! Becky

woo hoo becky!! i'm so happy for you but jealous...everyone is doing so well and my scale hasn't moved a bit! darn it...i'm working on it though. great job and have a great day!!

Pre-B: Protein shake (scoop and a half) w/ chilled coffee, half and half, sweet n' low B: Cup of coffee w/ creamer, minimoos and sweet n' low, deli ham and american cheese L: We had a luncheon here. Had a small amount of chicken BBQ and brisket. And a wee bit (few spoonfuls) of coleslaw. S1: Cucumber slices w/ jalapeno ranch dressing (canola oil based), protein shake (scoop and a half), slice of provolone S2: 1 oz peanuts D: Meat pizza (ground beef makes the crust - it's wonderful!) S: Two slices provolone, blue bunny SF ice cream pop No exercise - hurt my back Wednesday taking an exercise class. Besides the back, my muscles - all sorts of places hurt. And geez, I workout 4-5 times a week and this class used things I wasn't. Kathy

i know what you mean kathy...any change can really mess you up and make you sore. i did a kickboxing video yesterday and my legs hurt in the inner thigh area. but i'm trying to walk through it. i only got in 3 miles this morning instead of 5 but i'll try again later for something else. i'm thinking i need to try the kickboxing again today..i enjoyed it so much.

I hurt inner thighs, ribs and triceps. Owie. It is better today. My back is getting better. Freaked myself out on that. I did it doing squats with the weight bar across my shoulders - even felt it. I had back surgery March of 2005 (right before WLS) so I'm careful. Separately from this strain... got an epidural shot in my spine this morning to try to help the discomfort I still have in the right leg from my back. We'll see. Anyway, the shot was quick and not bad at all. Kathy
