So cold
I'm a fellow frosty. Always cold. I used to LOVE the fall and now that its ONLY 65-70 degrees, I'm chilled to the bone. I always have a jacket or a scarf that I use like a blanket with me - always bundled at work too. I'm going to have to break out the parka soon and its only September! LOL From what I see in your replies, it goes away somewhat, so I hope that's the case.
I'm 32 months out from surgery. I am still very cold natured. I keep a jacket and sweater at work, which I use most days. Prior to wls I never bought sweaters because I was so hot natured, now I find myself wearing elbow length sweaters all summer.
It's a problem for most wls patients, along with the painful tail bone, but I try to concentrate on all the wonderful things wls has brought into my life. The negatives seem minor compared to the plus column.
Best of luck on your continued success.
Thanks to everyone *****plied. Funny I am a little warmer this afternoon-- might have just turned the heat up in the office... who knows... I will be checking on my iron. As far as the rest of the past year goes I am ecstatic. I love the new and improved me. I do get a lot of information here at oh- so you probably will see me around more...
thanks again

Donna,
The cold could be iron low but in my case it was from losing weight so quickly. When my weight stabilized then the coldness was not as bad. I am still cold but not like I was at a year out. It will take your body time to get to a happy medium. In the mean time you wanna borrow my fleece blanket?

For me....it DID level out and suddenly I'm not cold all the time anymore. I froze for the first 18 months after surgery and now that I'm 27 months out I feel comfy most of the time in a/c. There are some restaurants that I go into where I'm still chilly, but it's still not like it was before. And I AM anemic, so I don't know why I'm not cold, but I'm not. I do work out 5 days a week and stay active when not exercising. I wonder if the fact that I do weight lifting and I've put on muscle mass has helped or not? They claim that muscle is more effecient on the body and men have muscle and they're not cold all the time, so maybe I have something there.
But I DO live in south Texas where it's warm most of the year. I used to live in New Hampshire and froze all the time when I was FAT. I couldn't imagine living there now. So stay active, learn to wear jackets as part of your everyday wardrobe and hopefully it will get better.
Good luck,
Terry Coles
